I think I'll choose the Rubicon for this one.

His Rubi won't make it through the Back 40 or Tall Dog.

Anyway - to the poster that said $1000 for new doors; why would you bother? The more they bend, the flatter they get, and the less damage you'll then receive!

I'm still using it to haul clients around in. So, I have to keep it in good shape for another year or so.

If my Rubi won't make it, how the hell will a lifted KJ make it? Chances are my KJ will be lifted by the time we go (still A/T tires, however). Which would I be better off in considering?

Actually those March dates will not work for me. However, a week later and they would be fine. Anyways, I will be attending if you guys hit up the badlands again.

Lets look at Later March dates then. Looks like most want March anyhow.
Gives me and KJ-BOL time to lift in Feb/early March as well (maybe I'll bring the KJ after all.)

3/11-3/12
3/18/3-19
3/25-3/26

I'm looking at getting the lift hopefully sometime during the first week of february - we are 3-4 weeks away and I want to be ready for Rockport. We might have to do a lift party - I'm open to suggestions but will put another post so we do not hijack this one.
Mid date in march works for me.

Ditto, but only for The Badlands. I tried to order my lift last week. Daystar 2.5" spacer with Rancho front struts and Rancho rear shocks. Due to XMAS the Dayster appears to be on national back order...

So I'm assuming this has fizzled out since a location or a date has yet to be decided other than "sometime in March."

My lift is on the way. It's going to be approximately 2.0" Daystar lift front and rear for a total of 2.5" with my new "tire lift" and I'm going to need to try it out.

I'm up for a day trip to the Badlands in between now and whenever we decide to go to Rockport. Myself and KJ-BOL will be lifting in the near future, so it may be a good test for us as well.

I also will be moving the MTRs from my Rubicon over to a set of steelies so I will wanna trail test that as well.

(I am going to put a set of A/Ts on the rubi to improve the gas mileage and highway ride, and have the steelies/MTRs available to whiver rig I am taking on the trail.)

I'd say lets try to look at late february? Any ideas for dates? After we get a little response I'll move the threads over to a new topic.

President's Day weekend of 18-19 Feb would work best for me since I have the 20th off.

you guys minght want to just wait until midwest jeepthing has their "jeepstock" this year ; it's going to be down at Rockport, and will offer a lot of trail guiding, etc., on pieces of land you don't get to normally wheel on. plus, it's a two day event.

so is anyone heading down there for this? i hadn't heard about this jeep jam until today (4/17), but a friend of ours and my wife and myself were already planning on heading to RORP this weekend just for the heck of it... he has a '98 lifted TJ on 33's and we don't know if we're going to ride with him or take our renny also..
thing is... i saw on their registration form that the deadline was April 1st... think we can show up and register that day? i was reading their forum and there was a guy that asked the same thing and the response was that you could show up and pay that day... but i don't want to make the trip down (approx. 1 hour) only to be turned away because we missed the deadline...

i'm going to call to find out for sure, but was wondering if any lost members were going..
