I might try and make this ride as well. Always wanted to go to the Badlands. Does anyone know their way around that park? I dont think there are guides like in Paragon.

Yes. We've been there 3-4 times now. It's not too easy to get lost. The trails are preety clearly marked.

I'd really be careful about advising people to run orange with stock jeeps. I wouldn't even run a stock TJ on orange. I was down there recently and after the second large "drop" it's been getting really dug out. The only reason I've made it through is due to a very aggressive tire and being disconnected in front and back (the articulation really helps with some of those stretches).

But if you're gonna try it, send pics! This was mostly filmed on orange, especially the portion where I get dragged out at the end when we ran it backwards :)

Back in November, I did a part of it stock, and then we ended up exiting in the middle to meet a couple guys from the XTerra club. Unless a lot has changed between then and now, I know a part of it is fine for stockers. I realize the rock garden, and going back up the initial drop in is not a good idea for stockers.

You guys are brave then. I've got enough body damage, but that was due to everything being so darn wet. I buried the KJ completely past the hood in mud and water

We must not have gotten far enough in to encounter any of that. All we had was some off camber spots and a little babbling brooke, although exiting that trail was where I got most of my custom pinstriping.

Hmm, I wonder how far you went in then. Did you get to the point where there's a huge drop between two large tree roots (you'll see it in the movie that I have where the "event staff" (JD from MWJT) is yelling at his son "when you get to the bottom..."

We went much further than that, however we bypassed that particular obstacle.

You can't bypass that obstacle without backtracking at least 1000 yards. Where did you go? I know there's a way around it, but the bypass starts immediately after you drop in to orange. How tight was this bypass? Vietnam-like jungle?
