Alright, just got this in from Sandy Korners:

Hi Daryl,
Just touched base with lodging and meal for Saturday . Both agreed to discount for us. Lodging for Saturday night will be $81.00 per room and Meal for Saturday night will be $15 per person including tax and tip. Saturday breakfast will be up to you. Have not heard back for breakfast for Sunday yet but I am sure it will not be more than $7.00 person. Of course it will depend on how big of a breakfast you want.

We can make all reservations necessary.

I hope this works for everyone,
Jack

He told me yesterday that all reservations need to be made 30 days prior to the trip so that would be by April 16th. Also, his fee is 50.00 per Jeep per day.

Let me know if anyone is going so I can decide if I want to go as well!

I went swimming at indiana dunes in late april / early may when I was in high school....I was the only one that stayed in for more than a minute and i was blue. The water is probably 50-55 degrees then.

I'm down. I'll see if anyone from the local Jeep club is wanting to go...they go pretty frequently. Silver lake is def. not far for me at all.

OK OK OK    throw out some dates

BUT first would you rather go before say June 1st or after?
Lets here some thoughts on that then maybe say look at May 16th/17th if you all think its better to go before the masses start in??

Opens April 1st. Probably going to be PACKED that weekend. Weather will be better after June 1st than before.

I'll be headed up there the last full week of July. I have gone every year for the past 4 years, but this will be my first taking my own Jeep. Just alittle excited!
