I'm too far to actually help, but I can offer a bit of advice that you'd probably think of anyway, but here goes. Once you've put the template on the pinchweld as per the instructions, make sure that it's laying flat on the pinchweld, otherwise the holes will be off. Mine was just slightly bent, so I had to open up two of the holes on each side for them to fit. Not a huge deal, but it'll save you some time.

The instructions will be printed, but that is a head start, since I copied and pasted from the word document directly to that webpage. Here is the other page that you actually start with since you have the 05+ KJ. And, I ran out of self tappers, so they should be here by the end of the week. That is the only holdup right now.

Anyway we can do it on Saturday the 8th?. Sundays are typically not that good for me.

Sorry I cant help. I dont know how hard the drilling will be but a little cutting fluid goes a long way. Pretty much any lube or coolant will help with drilling though.

Glad to here it. They have been holding up to a lot of trail testing here too, even my XJ Super Skinks have been taking a beating. If you check out the Past Trail Runs Forum or whatever that one is called, you can see some of the trails we have been testing the Rock Lizard products on. Ted, who has the first prototype front and rear bumpers, went up a trail with me yesterday, and beat the living crap out of the bumpers. Both are holding up very well, but the front prototype is only 1/8" plate, and it is barely starting to show after some serious abuse. Both front and rears will be 3/16" plate. Sorry to get off topic, but I am excited to hear when my products hold up to what they are designed for. Your KJ looks good with the new lift by the way.

Marty had instructions, I just didn't figure it all out yet - no circuit diagrams These things look great, and they are soooo much heavier than the OEM rails! (a bunch of fiber tape adhesive had to be removed with some gas, but I needed to prep the surface anyways)

On all the local sliders I have installed, I just got the cheap black Black and Decker 1/8" and 5/16" drill bits front WalMart. The 1/8" for all the pilot holes (keeps the larger bit from walking and screwing up hole location), then the 5/16" bit is the only size you need to do all the holes for installation. I doesn't hurt to have a 3/8" bit on hand, incase you get a hole or two that are slightly off on the pinch seam, which could easily happen. Even though they are cheap bits, being brand new, making pilot holes, and drilling slow and steady pressure, they cut very quickly. No need to spend too much money on expensive bits. I have never used cutting oil to install the sliders, but it wouldn't hurt. Slow and steady speed/pressure is the trick. I can do two full installs with just one of each of those bits before they aren't worth a dang.

The drilling is easy as long as it is a cobalt bit. Anything else and it is a nightmare.
