Post subject:  Lift Party coming up?

hey guys-

I'm fairly new here and it's been less than a year since
i've had my KJ...but I'm lookin to lift my Libby already
and put some new meats on it. i'd like to do this before winter.
i'm gonna be ordering the Frankenlift in about a month
or so. If anyone from the Chicagoland area would like to
have a lift party...i'm game for supplying food/beer/and a
few bucks to whoever could help me out. I really want to
get the KJ ready for the non-pavement come springtime.

Hey..Pixeldzn...i'll take ya up on your offer when i get my lift!
thanks man 8)

You just let me know when that baby arrives. We''ll have it on in half a day, easily. I know all the tricks now that I've done a couple and made a couple repairs.

Keep in mind we will be in Kentucky the 7-9, so that weekend is out. Looks like it'll be after that anyhow. Maybe you can get it purchased in time for the halloween run and you can settle it in at the Badlands.

Keep us apprised!

Apprised? Apparently your vocabulary is beyond my own. I had to look that one up  I guess you learn something new everyday.

I think you do need to brake line relocation bracket for the 06's

I would call Quinn at All J and ask about the relocation bracket.

Def. Wait until after the lift is on to to the tires. You can get an alignment at the same time then and won't have to worry about pre-lift rubbing and what not.

Where in the area are you located, BTW?

yea actually i talked with him for a bit and he said he wasn't totally positive on the 06's needing the bracket.
he said i could tell if i checked behind the rear tire and to look at how the brake lines were going to each tire.
i guess i'll try that. i think it might be only on the KJ CRD that it's needed.

cool..ok i'll plan on the tires post-lift! thanks man. uhh i'm in Worth which is like Harlem Ave and 111th street--
about 22 miles southwest of downtown. i can go wherever though.

I will be slightly torqued tomorrow after my install (with Eddo) if I find out I bought a $30 bracket for nought... :(

sorry man. How did your install go?

Pixel and KJ-Bol,
they're shipping my Frankenlift today!.. any dates in mind on when we could do the install?

I can't see that. At full droop you'd pop the break line...
