As I was washing my jeep from the last run, I looked underneath my jeep and found a bent lower shock mount on the right side. Is there anyone that can weld the shock mount on for me? I will buy pizza and drinks and willing to travel a far distance. So far I found aftermarket shcok mounts from Rustys that are 3/16" thick and will not bend according to Rusty. I will post some pictures of the shock mount later on today. |

I broke one off and had Shaumburg Jeep weld it back on for me. I drove around with only 1 rear shcok for a week before I had it done (after finishing to 'wheel the rest of the day.) It was a little bouncy, but not bad. They didn't cut me any special deal or anything - it was about $100 just for the welding. Try a local muffler shop, not one of the chain stores, and I bet they will be able to help you out. Just make sure they measure a couple times and get it back in the right spot. |

If you honestly want to drive all the way to Ohio, I'll do if for you. Otherwise a local private garage should be able to do. Or a local muffler shop or such. |

If its putting the shock in a bind, just take it off till you get it fixed. Ive been without a shock before and its not as bad as you would think if you still have one. I wouldnt be taking turns at speeds or anything though.. Jeepin Al sells mounts also. Youve got to have the stock shocks and not the longer ones though. I do not believe you can use the Rancho shocks with these. OME would work though.. |

Oh, ah... a broken shock mount..... just have it welded at a body shop - probably cheaper than a dealership or driving around to a friends place to have it done - sort of a no brainer on the weld - just make sure it is lined up right - Pixeldzn's broken mount not only was that, but his shock was messed up too It just happens..... |

Call a mobile welder. I had my old CJ Frame crack pretty back near the rear spring hanger and this big-a rig came right to my garage and fixed it for $20! |
