 Post subject: Who got hit by the Ice Storm?

The storm went through here in Michigan. Got lucky here no trees down and we did not lose power.

Well we got hit...but I wouldn't necessarily call it an Ice Storm...or atleast what we got anyways. We had ice underneath the snow...but we got 5-6" of powder and they called off school. By mid-day the roads were fine...

The powder is a blast in the KJ...

We got the ice! The kids got the day off of school. I still had to go into work though :? :cry:

and yeah i was in Jackson, lost power, had trees down, etc

Nope....we had to go to school on Monday...regardless of MLKD. It sucks..but we just dont have the black population in our school like others I guess.....

We live in a VERY small farm community and our school is very small!

I guess we're supposed to get hit w/ more snow tonite and tomarrow and Saturday??? I'm hoping so!

move closer to Detroit, then you get another day off.


actually i am probably guessing that you guys get Good Friday off, most public schools don't get that one in Michigan

It also has to do with the # of snow days we have....which only equals one since Tuesday. :o
