Post subject:  Install help

I'm really excited because nearly all of my presents for my KJ have arrived and now I need some help installing what I have. Don't know if it can all be done in one shot but it would be great if it could be. Here's what needs to be installed:

Al's A-arms
Frankenlift
Powertrax rear locker
Superskid II
Extended breathers

Anyone game for helping with the install this coming weekend and have a place to install this stuff? Free lunch for anyone that can help.

Does that mean your Rusty's is up for sale?

(I may have heard some thing about that at Livingston... )

Yep, I won't need the Rusty's coil lift once it comes off. The Mopar transmission skid will also be available if anyone's interested.

Well, I don't have any knowledge on installing lifts, but I'd come to observe and lend a hand where I can. Also, if I have the cash and the price is right, I might be willing to take that Rusty's coil of your hands while I was there. Would eliminate any shipping trouble...

Unfortunately I live in an apartment so there's really no good place to pull apart the KJ here. Hopefully Eddo or someone else will have some free time to assist and provide a garage (not to put you on the spot Eddo). The day doesn't matter to me so if one day works better than another for everyone I'm open.

Edit: By the way, welcome to the area Tommud! If you have time to get together for lunch tomorrow and you're in the Polaris/Westerville area let me know.

I'll definitely return the favor for helping we with mine. Especially if you end up doing this in the Dayton area. ;) The next two weekends are packed for me though...

I might take that skid off your hands. PM me with an asking price.

I have the room but who wants to come to Toledo, I dont even want to be here!!

lol. I know what you mean about Toledo. I use to live there and my parents still do. They're always talking about moving back down to Columbus but it's so darn windy up there in Toledo that I think they keep getting blown back inside the house.

Looks like everyone's pretty much tied up this coming weekend and I was just placed on call for Saturday with the daylight savings time shift at the Bank so I can't be more than 1 hour away from the office (and that would include throwing the KJ back together so I could drive into the office). So if March 17 works better for people then that works for me.

Ah nuts. I thought that date was important. My Irish side is kicking me right now. I don't mind buying a round of beer as long as the beer comes after the install. :)

I'm out on the 17th - sorry

Bump...

I'd rather not attempt the locker install without someone experienced assisting. Looks like the 17th doesn't work for anyone so what about the 24th? I've just finished extending the breathers and I should be finishing the skid install tomorrow night so that leaves the a-arm, lift, disconnects, and locker install. Still offering free lunch to anyone that can help. If a better place than my apartment can't be found then we can do it here on the 24th but it would be open to the elements and I don't have any air tools.

Ok, after multiple attempts at getting the lift install scheduled it's finally nice enough out (and the work schedule has cooperated) that I'm going to attempt this at my place on Sunday, which looks to be the best chance for dry weather. I'd appreciate any help that comes along but be warned that I don't have air tools so the install will be a very manual process. Lunch (Max and Erma's) is still on me for those that can assist.

Btw, thanks to all of those that offered their assistance previously. I appreciate the offers and apologize that issues arose which kept the date moving.
