Hello All !,
Funny story as to how I ended up posting here. It all started with a trip to the local Best Buy. I need to upgrade my old projection screen to a new HD Plasma. After many more stores, and sales people frustrating me to no end. I gave up my search for the perfect TV. On my way home I spotted a nice looking New Dodge pick-up sitting on a car lot. So I wheeled in to check it out. Sales guy wanted to know if I'd like to test drive it. I told him no, I drive one every day, (mine is a 98 SST) so I know what it drives like. Then I spotted this little silver Jeep looking thing. I asked what it was?, he tells me, "that's an 06 Liberty we just got in on a trade." Well, I checked it over, never really paying much attention Jeeps in the past, I was curious. I took it for a spin around town, and fell in love with it. The whole time I drove it, I felt this almost irresistable urge to find MUD ! Soooooo, I bought the dang thing. My wife was pretty mad about buying a Jeep, and not consulting her about it. Then the strangest thing of all happened. She drove it, and now she is calling it Hers! I must be slipping, this is the first vehicle I have ever purchased that we fight over.
I'll get my Plasma TV soon, after I get my lift, lockers, skids, wheels, Tires, ect......... ! :twisted:

Dang, you are in a pretty good spot!

3Hrs and you could be in livingston or at the Badlands in attica. Im sure someone here can help you find some mud.

You are lucky that your wife liked it.....you will be even luckier if she doesnt completely take it from you :shock: :wink:

Dude, it gets even BETTER from here! You're only about an hour from French Lick, which is one of the locations for Jeep Jamboree! 8)

I'm in a very central location for trails in the Kentucky / Indinana area. 1 hr. from Frenchlick, I was planning on heading that way
to check out the new Casino, in conjuction with the Jeep Jam. Then every year I go down to Clay Co. KY to visit relatives. Very close to Morehead, and Slade.
I'm 3 hrs. from Land between the Lakes, so I can hit that Jam as well. Looks like I better get busy planning !

Ha...nice story. These jeeps are addicting (Jeep stands for Just empty every pocket). You're not far from me and a couple other members...you should definitly come on the next badlands run with us when we go (whenever we go).

You may want to research alittle before getting a plasma tv. There are better TV's out there IMHO that are cheaper, last longer, and do not have burn in. :wink:

Truthfully, I have never been on a Jeep outting of any sort, but I'm looking forward to it..
But I did spent 10 years in the military, (In the Recovery Section) and got everything from the old M151 Jeep, 2 1/2 ton trucks, Hummers, Bradleys and M1a1's unstuck from all sorts of mishaps. Of course the main winch cable on a M88 makes most jobs seem rather small... lol

just typed in Liberty + Mud, and found the site by accident. Read some of the post, and everyone sounded very nice, and really into enjoying Jeeps !
