Two weeks have past since I purchased my first Jeep, and strange things are happening to me.

1. My poor ole 98 Dodge SST sits in the drive alot more than it use to.
It's days of ripping up pavement, and making GT's wonder how a Truck beat em off the line are fewer now.

2. I bought a 78 CJ w/ V8 and auto tranny. Needs a little engine work, but has alot of potential.

3. I'm haggling $ on a 79 CJ that has been heavily mod'ed w/ suspension / body lifts, Fiber tub, and "great big ole wheels".

4. Wife got mad at me for driving over a parking lot barrier, instead of driving around.

5. I think about rock rails, lift kits, skids, and will stock tires get me through a 3 rated trail?, more than I think about low ET's, narrowed rear ends, and trying not to red light.

Is thing normal Jeep behavior?

Sweet! Another CJ fan! I used to have:

1979 CJ5(81" wheel base), 304 V8, T150 3-spd, high rise intake and racing cam.

1974 CJ6(104" wheel base - ultra rare), 258 I6, T15 HD 3-spd, D44 rear, D20xfer case, D25 front, all original #'s matching stuff, 36k original miles.

1962 CJ6(101" wheel base), 151 I4, T90(?) 3-spd, twin stick xfer case, D44 rear, all original #'s matching stuff except a 4" Skyjacker lift with 33s on it and a WARN Overdrive. Thing had 4 shifting levers in total!

Should have kept at least one of the CJ6s...
