BLOW-OUT RAFFLE FOR PAID MIDWEST MEMBERS

The chapter officers have decided that we are not going to collect dues any longer. There are many discussions behind this, but the reason at the forefront is the chapter is simply just to large to do anything with the money that is fair to everyone who paid except have a big raffle. After that, there will no longer be any money collection associated with the chapter, nor will there be any official LOST Midwest membership.

The ROLL-CALL thread will remain, and anyone who puts thier name on it will be a member the same as the rest.

Stay tuned in this thread for a list of what you might win. We will be drawing names from a hat only of those who sent in membership money over the course of the year.

If you never recieved your shirt and sticker, please PM me your name and address and I will make sure that you get it ASAP.

Since its been 3 1/2 months whatever became of the BLOW-OUT RAFFLE for all paid members?

Over 170 people have looked at the post but nothing..................
Just curious! :wink:

But as always if I am not stirring it up a little I am not doing the job that I am paid to do! :lol:

We're just disorganized as all heck. Hence the decision to stop charging for membership of any type.

Thanks for bringing this back to my attention - I'll email Robert, have him list exactly what funds we have, and then we'll figure out what we can buy to raffle off.

I closed the account and somehow the funds got mixed in with my personal cash when I was on vacation in Mexico...

But really, this has not been anywhere near the top of my priority list since I had identical twin boys born on May 1st. I need to go to Chase and close out the account. Our last balance was $300.

I'll provide a clear list of who paid and who's checks were never cashed for one or other reason
I can also say that i'm one of the culprits here - too much on my plate at one point and it went downhill from there.
I'll post such list later today

Not trying to cause trouble here and I do also realize that most of you that jumped in there in the beginning of MIDWEST LOST have went different ways so to speak and have other interests instead of the Midwest LOST site. It takes a lot of time to be over a site such as this.
But you did start something May 28th, and here it is October 25th. Bank account closed out about a month ago, if you dont have time and not really interested anymore just say so and I will leave you alone!
So you have some slack....I will not say a thing until New Years 2008 :lol:

I'm not upset or mad at anyone at the moment, I'm just disappointed that is been over a year and iv contact pixel and kj-bol about my sticker and I haven't even gotten it yet. Plus my check I sent over a year ago hasn't been deposited by anyone yet. :cry:

I think the large part of what made all of us give up is simply that we couldn't do anything to make everyone happy. If we did something convient for one group, it left out another, and the complaints began, sometimes nastily.

As for the shirts and stickers, I still have a small list on my desktop, including Sean's name, and by no one's fault but my own, I haven't taken care of it yet. I still will, and if all goes well, I will do it soon.

As for checks never being cashed, yet again it goes to the top item. We began gung ho, and met resistance at every turn, and that kind of makes it unpleasant to want to put any time and effort forth.

To be clear, the checks that haven't been cashed to date will not be cashed at this point. If you sent one and it was never cashed, we will be shredding it.

You guys can come into this thread and make sideways comments, and are probably justified in doing so, but I'm not really sure what it accomplishes. It's good to keep it current until we do what we said we'd do, and thanks for that. I am cleaning up the thread to include only posts that have a purpose other than a smart remark.
