We'll be up in Michigamme over the holiday weekend. Just wondering if anybody else will be in the area? Might do the Champion-Republic trail. Or just some local trail running.

It was a quick run up there, but it was still a great time. It was the first time taking our jeep on a trail and it was a good time. The wife was a little nervous about it because we are planning to head for South Carolina on the 24th of July. She told me if I broke anything, she would break me and Geo Jeeper, for talking me into it. It was a Great time and hopefully next time we will be up there longer.

I am SO jealous!
I've been up there many times. Love it up there! By the way......That stream you posed next to: Would it possibly be a stream near a road, leading to Craig lake? :)

Or...........is it possibly on the Peshekee Grade?

Ding! Ding! We have a winner! Craig Lake it is. And the logging road we were on is just east of it on the north side of the road.
