ls6jay: PM sent.

LostRenegade, congrats on the new job. Please keep in touch when you decide to move back home to michigan in a few years :)

RenegadeMarine: I sent a PM your way too.

Fo all. I put 11am - 3pm on the posting, but if anyone wants to stick around later than that it is ok by me. My only constraint that day is putting my 1 year old to bed.
If folks stick around later, we can probably get some wrenching done if anyone is interested.
According to Marlin, I'll should have my JBA Adjust-a-strut lift ready to install on my KK :D

stumpjumper_09,
To be honest, I am very new to the lift parade. Until I bought my current Liberty, I have only leased Jeeps previously and have therefore not done any modifications on any of them. So, I really don't know what tools I will need.

I have just basic tools (hammers, wrenches, drills, compressor, jacks, stands, etc.) Just the stuff needed to change fluids, rotate tires, and other minor stuff like putting on skids and sliders.

Also, I was half joking about lifting my Jeep at this M&G. I just want to make sure we finally get something going and meet more often. I didn't really think that anyone would be interested in working on my Jeep all afternoon being that we have never met.

I am not one to sit back and watch others work so what I am more hoping for some pointers and advice on what to do and things to watch out for from those who have done lifts before. If anyone wants to bring some stuff and help with parts of it, I will be extremely grateful.

I have done several here in my garage with people who have never done anything before to their rides. If you want to try and do it I can help and or sit and give advice or do it with some help, basic hand tools are all that is needed really , along with jackstands, jack etc

I'll plan on putting together a small assortment of needed tools and bring them. I would rather be over prepared than need something in the middle of the process. Just ask evil libby I have no problem wrenching on other guys stuff it what I do.

Evil Libby: sorry you won't be able to make it.
I think to make sure we get something off the ground we'll have this one this upcoming weekend and then schedule another one in the spring sometime to give folks more time to plan.

Thanks so much everyone for offering to bring tools and help lift my jeep. Hopefully the parts arrive in time.

Good call on keeping it at this time, next thing you know you change it for one, then another and 4 years go by and nothing!
Ones that can make it will, those that can't will at another one!
