I just wanted to put a bug in everyone's ear about maybe an Indiana M&G. I live in southern Indiana about half hour outside of Evansville. It difficult to get to any of the Ohio, Illinois, or other regional M&G so thought maybe we could schedule one around the Indy area. Just a thought! I'm gettin sick of all these Ohio guys runnin everything :seuss: (sorry Tom)

When & where you looking at? I'm 3 hours north of Indy. It's actually closer for me to hit Tom's house (2.5 hours) but I'd like to meet some of the Indiana people some time.

Alright, well its great there is some interest. Maybe we can get something going for around spring maybe March and then plan out some other M&G's. Lets get some more hoosiers involved and start kicking around some ideas of dates and places!

Are you planning to do any wrenching, wheeling, or just like meet up at a restaraunt or something? Count me in for whatever you guys want to do, as long as it doesn't cost too much. I might be able to convince my fabrication partner to let us use his yard, it's where our shop is. I'd prefer to do it when it is at least springtime though, as I'd like to stay out of his house. So maybe that can be the 2nd one. I'm in Muncie, which is a little more out of the way than Indy, for just about everyone.

Not very centrally located so maybe it should be unrelated, but check out the scenic road rally in March near Madison Indiana. Would be a good chance to meet some Indiana and Ohio people too. From what I hear they are pretty tame, just something to do.

I should be able to make it unless work requires me to travel, but March or later should not be a problem.

Boiler great ideas, x2 on everything. I think our first M&G should be maybe just to get know everyone. Then maybe a visit to Muncie in April? By then we all should have some projects that may need a set of extra hands! I suppose we can let in some Ohio-ans but only maybe 2 or 3 :-)r We should keep this an active post, everyone think about what would work in March and post some dates. I am on vacation up north right now so I dont have my calendar in front of me at the moment, but I think maybe mid March like second weekend or something.

What about around Feb 14th just meet up at a restaraunt for a little get to know ya over lunch, share ideas & sell your spare parts. Then March 7th join some Ohio folk (probable I think) at angela's revenge scenic road rally in Madison, Indiana. http://www.scenicroadrallies.com/downlo ... yFlier.pdf

Finally in may some kind of get together in Muncie. I think we should mount Yellowcoyote's roof rack & wire her roof lights :D

For starters, does the "get together for and eat meet" in Feb sound lame or good?

I think we should welcome Ohio to our events too. It is an especially easy run for Dayton folks to hit Indy anyway.

Nope, just throwing it out there to see what people think and what schedules are.

Feb. 14 is clear for me right now. If interested, there is this old restaurant http://www.steerin.net/ where they have occasional old car shows or meets. Jeeps may be a tad different from the usual trend, but I don't think they'd kick us out. :D Just an option...

I think a resturant is a good idea but nothing too expensive. Sounds like there might be a place for use to meet. Steer-In sounds cool, and if they have a parking lot we can meet in that's even better! I suggested march because there seems to be a lot of M&Gs happening in Feb. so march seemed to be a good place to start. Not against Feb. but wanted to let everyone have a chance to come if they wanted. Would the weekend before or after work for anyone? I believe its the 6&7, 20&21.

I'm not going to go sledding on the 13th, but I agree lets not make it that day.

The steer in sounds like a great meeting place. Once we come up with a date I'll give them a call and see if we can reserve some space inside for a little while as well as some parking. It wouild be nice to all park together.

What do you guys think about Feb 6th? I think we should try to reserve some space after the lunch rush, like 1:30 or so. Just to put them out less.

I think this will be a perfect way to all get to know each other. Neutral place, nobody's house, food & drink on hand, and the drive in type place is kind of fitting.
