I was thinking about heading up to the mounds tomorrow or sunday. Is it worth the effort to drive up to the Mounds (from Howell) or should I just wait till I go to the UP in July? Any suggestions would be great.

BTW: My Liberty is stock (except for stock sized all-terain tires). I basically would just like to get it dirty and see how it is off-road. I've had it for a while now and want to get it dirty.

I go to Gwinn. That is where I am origally from (south of Marquette). I went to MSU, graduated last year and now live in Howell, but work at MSU.

I know exaclty where Brevort lake is. Think I am going up to Drummond for Memorial day weekend or at the very least up north.

I have never been that far over yet ! We do take road trips on RT.2 sometimes and play on sand with the kids and got to the
that petting zoo down there. Yes BREEVORT Lake is in MORAN on RT123 . We've bee to Whitefish point and the
Taquininum Falls Area which is just BUTAFULL (SP) over there. HOW is the fishing over there that way .

Fishing is generally good, depends on what you want to fish for (trout, walleye, bass, pan fish). Most streams have trout, most rivers have walleye or pike. The best fishing that I can think of is near Grand Maris area if you are looking for trout. Not so much the best fishing, but the best exerience and the most fun.
