I am heading to Silverlake in July for a week and wanted to go somewhere other than the dunes at some point. I found a place close that looks decent called Little Manistee trail. What stickers of paperwork do I need to get onto the trails with my jeep. I am already going to purchase my new ORV sticker for getting onto the dunes, but didnt know if that was all I would need. Any info would be great!

As far as I know it is the same paperwork as silver lake you need

Orv sticker- I think its $15
Michigan State park sticker - $28

But both stickers are good for the year

orv sticker will cover you for that trail. dont expect an epic trail run on the little manistee its more like a whooped out dirt road. shouldn't even need to lock in 4 wheel. I've run it a lot on my quad.

yeah I am going with people that aren't really "into" off-roading. It is a stretch to get them out onto the dunes. Just wanted an nice ride through the country side.

Mason, just south of lansing. Saranac is a pretty cool area I've been up there for work a few times. I'd love to live out that way. Sorry for the tread hyjack. I know I'm not smiley but its cool to meet people in my neck of the woods.

Have you been to silver lake before? It get busy on summer weekends. I like to setup a little picnic area along the boundry at lake michigan. Its nice to have a spot to eat lunch and hang out without going back to the parking lot. plus its a good place to sit and watch others drive their junk by. definently good people watching. Make sure you have a reverse flow muffler or an approved spark arrestor, and a bracket to mount a flag to. Jeeps buggies must have the flags mounted on the front, atvs bikes on the rear. Lots of local places up there sell the flags.Sorry for the doble post.

Been going to silver lake for the last 6 years. Very familiar with that ORV area, just wanted to branch out and hit some other trails that we close.
