Vicki (Jeepfrog) and I are planning an official run through Manistee National Forest. Meeting point, and more info will be up in a week. This will be the main thread.. For this run we do need at least one other vehicle with a winch, this for just in case mud stucks...Some requirements will be good gripping tires and tow points...more to follow |

I'd love to make it! But I'll be in college (probably working too) and in a frenzy trying to get my Liberty ready for ECS. I need to order and install four aftermarket parts, plus my DYI Frankenlift. I'm really hoping I can get everything done before ECS.  I wish Vicki and yourself the best on this event. |

This would be a nice shakedown for the Beast before ECS. I'll have to see how the job situation works out. If I can get back to work, get my wife's medical bills straightened out and still afford the few parts left to buy ( exhaust, 2 driveshafts and all the hoses and fluids!) I would love to make the 4 hour run up there. I would have to be on the tentative list. |

ECS is out for us this year.  Scheduling conflicts with my sister's vacation...long story there.It would be great to have you along, Larry. I'd love to get a first hand look at the Beast! |

will have to see how things go My wife and I are looking forword to the lil jeeper comeing in oct. so if she is up to it will be there will keep this on the cal. |

With this type of advance warning.... I think I can make it unless between now and 9/10 I no longer own my Jeep or any other usable 4wd car (which knowing me, may happen  )

SO an update...finally...lol Vicki and I have decided to spend the night of 10-12th in Silver lake State Park...that's right folks...the sand dune orv place....we figure we r commming in around 1pm on Saturday, so anyone comming in Friday the 9th can do some sand dunes in the morning before we get there....here is a link for their regulations and if you click on the link under the picture it will take you to the campgrounds website.... http://www.michigan.gov/dnr/0%2C1607%2C ... %2C00.html Saturday after lunch and Sunday we plan on doing trails throughout Manistee National Forest. For those interested, our plan is to move north on monday, staying i dont know where monday night, tuesday during day going on a boat tour of pictured rock national seashore with our goal of getting to Ottawa National Forest tuesday night, doing trails there on wednesday and thursday, then friday working our way down to Nicolette to join Jaime on her adventures (see other event post in this section).. |
