So today i got to meet up with nate, "gravediggerfreak" and his brand new '08 Liberty KK. We went wheeling right behind Buckley AFB, its a field with some trails and a huge ravine that you cross through. Its basically a big playground that looks more challenging after a rain storm, some of the little trails were torn up pretty bad from where it looks like people bit off a little more than they could chew after a rain storm. It was a great time to meet a new guy thats right here in my back yard and observe a new KK in action.
Nothings changed from the old to new except of course body style. Both retain the 8 inches or so of wheel articulation however i think the reviews have confirmed that the KK is slung lower to the cement, but not a significant amount. The spare that is now stored on the underside of the vehicle is well tucked away and it dosent look like there will be any problems with it hitting things, in fact its better tucked away than the KJ's fuel tank. The ESP in the KK is loud, you know when its working; it makes an electro-mechanical buzzing when in action. The interior is much better over the KJ although i like my window switches on the console. Everything is very upscale looking and more on-par with japanese rivals than the KJ is, i didnt get a chance to touch any buttons or feel how switchgear works... didnt want to overstay my welcome. I like it better than the KJ, it looks better in my oppinion. If the opporotunity comes and i can keep payments around the same as they are now, I'd highly consider trading up!

Ok Ok, now to the pictures!

WOW, that KK does look pretty bad booty. It may be a Nitro platform, but the way they switched up the styling and went with squared off elements makes it look soooo much better than it's red-headed step-brother. Just may have to consider one in the spring... Looks like you guys had fun.

it was worth it, i wanted to take nate to this trail. i know what its like when u get a new toy, u wanna test it out! he did and had a blast doing it from what i could tell. plus it wasnt all bad, it just got dusty, so i took it to the do-it-yourself carwash, did high pressure rinse, soap spray, high pressure rinse, spot free rinse and it looks like it did yesterday! the only reason it took so long yesterday was because i had to cut through like 5 layers of dirt film, lol. and i met a local jeep owner in the process of all of this.

once again, it was so worth it!

I hear that, it is always better to have fun than have a perfectly clean KJ. Life experience beats chores any day. Plus, I'm just jealous since I spent an hour and a half cleaning mine today just to take a trip to the Home Depot.

Uhh.....it is a good thing you didn't watch the Broncos. *PHEW* It was quite smelly.

What is that on the end of the exhaust, a second mini muffler? Stock or did you add that?

Try doing the wave w/o the rear sway bar next time. Take it off and test without the thing on.

I was under the impression the playground was ON base?!? Not so? I'd be down for a play date next weekend...

It's not my fault the KJ is UGLY and uncomfortable. Sorry, not meant to rile everyone up, just not my cup of tea. If it's worth anything, the compass is just as ugly IMO, so it's not just the KJ. I am alloted my freedom of speech here, right?

Excellent.[/quote]

and wont stay in 4LO. yesterday was not a good run for my KJ at all, it kept popping out of 4LO, and i had a very hard time putting it into 4LO i had to use alot of oomph and anyone who has seen me in person knows that oomph can be quite difficult for me to come by :D

before anyone suggests that it wasnt in gear all the way, it was; i always make sure of that. back to the dealer i go
