SO FAR,

it looks like three of us?

1. me
2. gundrted
3. Skyjump

Who else wants to go hit a trail this Sunday? We'll pick something close.

Meet: Morrison exit (Exit 259) parking lot - nearest the exit ramp - just look for KJ's.

Come on guys.....not many chances left before snow closes up most of the trails for winter. Speak up if you plan to go

Ted (gundrted),

I hope we didn't take you too hard, off-roading. I think I got tainted by my first off-roading experience (Moab) and think trails need to be like them to be tough.

EVERYONE ELSE (that didn't go, from the front range area),

You missed an awesome trail. We did Bill Moore Lake trail. I can not believe the book said "Not for the faint of heart." I did not see anything remotely close to justify that statement.

It was a lot of fun and very beautiful scenery at the lake.

Ted.......send me the pictures of me teetering on that mogul.

darn, i was out of town for most of the weekend. bill moore is a great trail. as long as people stay out of the mud pit it should be open for along time.

did anyone run through the chutes? wondering if the large door crushing rock is still there.

Joel, Ted - I sent you guys email through here but never heard back.

Send me your email addresses through PM. I can send pics of the run Sunday and I would like pics of my KJ teetering on the mogul, when we were heading down.

if'n ya go up through empire the trail splits off to the left while the gravel road heards straight around a corner and up the hill. later on the trai

that left is a rocky chute. it connects right back up to the road at the top of the hill. i havent been up there for a couple seasons so im not sure if it has been blocked off or not

hey all

that was really blast :D some parts were a little much but i think if i had more agressive tires i would have done fine. you did have me worried a few times. like when i was on 2 wheels ..... lol

my dad had a blast. thats all he talked about the rest of the day :). he was a little worried about getting down but after he say how much gravity helps he wasnt worried at all.

i still have the pics on my camera so i'll need to download them. they are sweet looking. the one with dave on 3 wheels is priceless .... lol

i didnt see any door crushing rock :? that might be a good thing. the mud pit was blocked off my the forest service so no playing in the mud.

you know i still wana know how the 1/2ton dodge did. it just looked way to big to be back there ................

Ted,

Such a slow download....only getting 33k per sec. Not sure if it is me, comcast, or over on your end. I'll have to wait until after work to re-try. Lunch isn't long enough to DL the file.

I was able to get most of the file DL'd (88Megs before I had a loss of signal (darn Comcast) but I still need to figure out why I am getting a bad DL speed. I'll have to try a file from somewhere and see what I get.

Carribou Creek (moderate/2)
Eldorado Mountain (difficult/4)
Mt Baldy (moderate/4)

Legend (Book rating/4x4Trails.net rating)[/url]

gillespie is now a gravel road, literally. they went in with bulldozers and made a road out of it. nugget hill is still there if yuou come up from the rowena side, but most peeps dont like that obstacle

jenny creek is a nice trail in which you get to run in the creek for a stretch but it has never been a 7, maybe a 4 (and that is only because of the section where you cross the creek and have to make a hard left over a few rocks)

i still think bml is a 4 (5 max) as well, as per the ratings on 4x4trails.net
