Hey, thank you Toyko Joe! Just been busy; working, stuff...you know the drill. Very cool on Wheeler Lake on th 13th (I somehow missed that thread). Been up that road a couple of times, but never in a KJ - so this should be fun. Although I hear the road is quite a bit easier than it used to be. Anybody been up recently?

Also, Is Holy Cross still a little out of our league? Haven't been up there in ages. Rock Lizard, you have an XJ, right? Have you been up there?

Red Cone pass is pretty fun and not very hard.

and of course, there's always Blanca...lol!

This is another simple trail for everyone to join in, so let's get another awesome group together like the Bill Moore Lake run. Also, if you have any friends/family with jeeps interested in getting into the club, bring them along. This is also our club meeting, so it would be a great chance to pay some dues, take care of any necessary paperwork, and show the new people what our club is all about.

Do we have any idea what time we'll be off of the trail. My wife would like to come, but she needs to be back in Loveland around 4pm. I don't want to rush things and end up worrying more about the return time than having fun on the trail?

The trail head is in Georgetown, which is 7 miles from the meeting place in Downieville. The trail is 10.4 miles long and pretty simple. If we can start the trail before 1030, travel at 5MPH, 30 minutes at the top, that would put us back in Georgetown at 3PM, which is 1.5 hours from Loveland. Doesn't look possible, even if we started the trail right at 1000 and turned right around at the top.

I'll be there on sunday(now I know the way),I ripped my rear flares off and did a little modifing to see if I can get more flex with my 32's without rubbing like last time.It looks ugly right now but if it works I'll bedliner it to be pretty again.I'll also bring money to pay for due's if they are being collected.

All the CO springs guys usually meet at my place and we caravan on up. Ted, you going to meet at my place to do we need to get you on the way? I have one guy, Jared (xjrrrdx), going to be joining us. He went with us last month when we ran China Wall. He has an XJ with 6" and 34's. He will be bringing his dues as well. Got a couple other guys thinking about joining us for the run to meet the group and possibly join.

I'm not going to be able to make this one  I do have the August run penciled onto the calendar though. If we're collecting dues, I'll make sure to pay then.

Do we want to have the meeting at the trail head staging area, that way it is done and out of the way, then we can run the trail, and those that have to leave right afterward don't have to miss the meeting? I think if we did it at the top like the DC/Bill Moore Meeting, it will be quite windy and chilly, and I don't know how much room there is up there for staging a meeting.

That's fine with me.

Dave, are you prepared to collect annual dues at this meeting?
