The last week of July I took a trip up to the Silverton/Ouray to do some wheeling and camping. I ended up camping just a little outside Silverton on the way to Animas Fork. While I was there I did Clear Lake, BlackBear Pass, Imogene, Enginner, Cinammon Pass, Pougkeepise Gultch and California Cultch. A friend of mine came up over the weekend in his Tacoma and we did BlackBear again and Ophir pass.

Truely spectacular. I was hoping to look you up when we were in Silverton, but our plans changed when the last person in our group got in to town earlier than expected and met us in Silverton. We had a couple of good beers at the brewery, a bad bratwurst and headed back to Ouray. Maybe some year I can get some good wheeling mods and join you.

Looks awesome. I wish I could've made it but had a last minute change in plans that I had to take care of.

Lost Rockies does an annual run in July. I'm sure you can find a link to it someplace here. Haven't been able to make it yet but I think I'll go AWOL, if I have to, to make it next year. J/K

Is someone going to set the dates for Silverton in 2006 a couple of months ahead of time? this year it looked like it was going to be mid-July but ended up being late July and we already had our reservations and arrangements made so we were there a few days before the group.

We would have loved to have been there with the KJ's (even though we bring the Wrangler) but have to make arrangements for someone to take care of the house, etc.
