OK, so I decided the best place to start looking for a new CB was eBay. Sure enough, found a Uniden Pro510XJ and a Uniden Pro520XL. I have been eyeballing both of these on the www.walcottcb.com for some time, and have had many XJ friends running these, so I know they are pretty decent.
Here is the page on walcott for the 510:

So, they retail for $44.95 plus about $10 shipping.

the 520 specs:

Retail for $59.95 plus about $10 shipping.

I picked up a brand new 510 shipped for $30 at a Buy It Now price, and just won a use 520 for $22.00 shipped. Since the 520 is used, I will make sure it is good to go before reselling the 510. When I do sell the 510, any of you Rockies guys needing a CB, this thing is brand new for $30. That is almost half the price of a new one shipped. Or I might just throw it in the wife's ZJ, who knows. I can't remember ever winning anything on eBay, so I was kinda excited to win at such a great price. Now you guys can quitcherbichin. :D

Looks like a decent little radio. I've never had any problems with any Uniden products that I have owned.

I doubt I will have the CB by this weekend, but we'll see. I can install everything, I just need ot get it tuned once I do. Does anyone know of somewhere in town to get CB antennas? I already know which one I want, and the coax I want, just want to know if I can get them in town or if I should just order off the walcott site.

Radio Shack used to be the place I would go for that but it seems in the last few years they have gone away from the CB market. One place that was recommended to me was the RV dealership on the east side of I-25 at the Fountain/Ft. Carson exit. I've never been there so I can't tell you how good it is or what they have. There really isn't a CB shop in town though.

When you go to tune your system, I have an SWR meter if you need to borrow it.

If there is a good sized truck stop in the area you might try there. Can't really remember seeing one in C-Springs but when I was going thru I was usually intent on getting to Denver...

Well, I went ahead and ordered online, so next weekend I should be loud and clear.

Use Dexonline and look for Citizen Band Radio for the C Springs area. That's how I found a couple great stores for the many components I needed for my Antenna mod.
