For those in the springs. I called Faracy Boys Sept 28 and told them that I have a plan trip at the end of oct and if I can get the recall done before then. Me and the fam is driving to Disney world. They took my vin and said that they only get a few at a time, but they will assign a set to me as they came in and it would be a week or so before they came in. Thursday (10-5) they called me that they are in. Took it in on frday at 7:30am, got it back at 11:30am, rides great. this is the Faracy boys at woodman near powers, near the woodman wal-mart. I called becuase I have an 06, so I got mine done fairly quick. |

How much for the tranny cooler install? Probably not a bad suggestion really. |

For the second tranny cooler and the tranny flushed it was going to be $415 + tax. Just to make this clear, I'm talking about a second tranny cooler in addition to the cooler you get with the towing package. The cooler with the towing package is located behind the bumper causing it to get almost no airflow making it just about useless. The second one would be located above the primary one placing it directly behind the grill. |

Sounds to me like it should be something that should be brought to DC Regional's attention to address as a recall for the towing group in your year KJ. As For Faricy, they made a mistake, and then did the right thing by helping me to repair what it broke. Stand up Service reps and Manager. |

I personally I had poor experience with Faricy. I had them check my KJ for a loose front end. They reported the upper ball joint on the passenger side was bad and the drivers side was going to follow. I understood that, since at the time I had a 3" lift and I knew that both ball and cv joints could be impacted by that. They also told me I needed new Struts. The KJ only had 40K on it!!! Okay, but $1200 to install one upper control arm and replace the struts???? Well, it is deler service. I chose to switch to the Skyjacker and get MOOG after upper control arms. 4-Wheel parts did the install and it was the same price as what Faricy quoted for one control arm and Stock struts. I had one of the Skyjacker struts go bad within 100 miles. Took it back to 4WP and they replaced it, no questions asked. The real kicker for me was the feed back from Faricy on my brakes. I had about 600 miles till the next oil change and they told me I should get the brakes done at the same time. So, I bought the pads and replaced them myself. I figured I would do all four while I was at it and started with the rears. They weren't worn too bad, but figured I might as well go with the new ones since I already had them. Then I went to the fronts, and they weren't worn any more than the rears. I figure I probably could have gotten another 20 or 30K on that set of pads. So what do you think? Was Faircy trying to sell me unneeded service??? I now have my doubts on whether I really needed new struts. How can I trust anything that they told me??? |
