OK guys, lets hear some ideas when and what to do this. I know with Thanksgiving and Christmas, things will be a little hectic fitting things in, so if you are going to be out of town anytime during December, please post those dates so we can figure out the best time to get together. Also, post what day of the week would work out best and time frame.

We will be out of town from Dec 3-11, atleast that's the plan right now. I personally think a Saturday, like Dec 16 around 2PM would be a good time. A central location would probably work best as well, say the Denver area. It would be great if someone could host the event to help cut cost on food, and we wouldn't have to mess with restaurant reservations or taking up an area of the restaurant for too long. Everyone who comes could bring a dish, and we could start a list of things people would bring so we don't end up with a bunch of green bean casserole.

I think it would be a great time to check out pictures of the years trail run highlights, and maybe discuss plans/goals for the new year club events.

OK, so lets get this thing going. Need to plan something out ASAP so it can be scheduled in with the rest of everyones holiday plans.

Thanks
Marty

I think a Saturday the 16th would work for Jen and me. I also think a potluck would be a great idea and I can think of a couple of things I may bring. Just as a reminder, I'm collecting all the pictures I can get my hands on (stuff from this year preferably and anything dealing with mods).

Are you burning pictures onto a CD to play like a DVD? Don't know how to explain it, but like a slide show we can play on the TV wherever we have this party.

Something like that. I'm doing a promo version and an internal recap of the year. It will be a slideshow/music video type thing (still playing with a few different ideas/styles).

Anymore input? This is about 4 weeks away, and with all the craziness of holiday schedules, some input would be appreciated from everyone. If we need to make reservations for a banquet room someplace, we need to figure that out pretty soon, as I am sure a lot of places fill up quick this time of year. Anyone in the Denver area want to host this? It would be nice to have a central location so more could attend from anywhere in the state. I don't mind hosting at my place, but the Boulder and northern guys will have a long drive. Might be fun though. The wife will be out of town all weekend, so we could really throw a party.

I'll be there. I can bring all sorts of stuff, as usual. I'll have meats and some prepared stuff. Did someone say Fillet Mignon? How about some twice-baked potatoes, anyone? Maybe I'll go all out...

So is this going to be a go?
I would be there late (Cub Scouts until at least 6)
Are we going to do a potluck/movie night maybe?

I'm with Ted. I could do the 16th, but it would have to be later. I have a scuba class until 3:30 that day.

Has a date and a time been set?

I can probably make it on the 16th, if I have my Jeep back from having it 2nd new torque converter put in. :(

OK, so here's the list:

Me
Ted
Pete & Jen
Joel
Troy
Joe
Jared
Pete

16th in the evening seems to be the best for everyone. So, the big question is where. We have two in the north, and everyone else in Castle Rock and Colorado Springs. Do we want to do this at a restaurant in Denver, or at someones house. My place is always open to these things, I just don't know if the northern guys want to drive for an hour or two to get here in the evening. If at someones house, it would be easier to watch Pete's video of this years runs, and it would be less expensive with the food. I know this is a "Christmas" party, but do we want to keep the food a little simpler than a fancy Christmas dinner. I'm thinking Chili, Philly Cheesesteak sandwiches, stuff that won't take all day to make or require a big table and fancy plates.

This is a week away, so lets get some ideas on where then we can figure out what to bring.

What time in the evening are we talking about?...I thought 2pm was the original starting time. I work until 4pm and then I think I may be free...

Joel and Ted have things going on until later in the afternoon, so around 5 or 6?
