I am taking a trip out to Jackson, WY this summer (July 7 ~ July 14). Are there any areas you would suggest I look into visiting with my jeep? I would like to hit a trail or two while I am out there. Any web sites that I should check out?

Well, I think Wyoming is yet another state w/o an official lost club. I think you may have better luck asking in the 4x4 forum, unless some of our N Co guys have any ideas.

There's like one or two guys from Wyoming that have visited LOST. That's another big state though most people live in the SE (Cheyenne) area. The best nature is in the NW to West section of the state. I still haven't made my way up there. I will have to do that next year. This coming July, I will most likely be in Alaska for a few weeks.

I don't think there's much to the eastern part of Wyoming unless you want some cowboy, US Cavalry, and Native American history. Fort Laramie is NE of Cheyenne

I was able to find this web page http://www.mountainmancountry.com/index.html

Under scenic drives, I found the the Union Pass Road that looks like fun. Most of these are gravel roads but the scenery will be nice. I will keep looking at let you know what I find...

Here is the reply I got from the Bureau of Land Management, Pinedale Field Office.

Quote:
Hello Jeff,

Yes, we have the 2006 ORV maps available and the 2007 maps will be here

many pamphlets and brochures available about the area.

Hit me up on here before you come out. I can show you a few of the trails around here. And I should have my Libby pretty much ready for anything by then. Would it be possible for those few of us up here in Wy, brave enough to run KJ's, to join the L.O.S.T. Rockies group? I doubt there are enough of us to merit forming our own chapter.
