I will be home on R&R around the beginning of November and I was hoping we could get together for something. I know it's a long way out at this point, but I wanted to put out some feelers. |

Saturday or Sunday would work for me. I'm up for just about anything but I think someone other than me should pick the trail. ![]() edit: How about this. We make the 6th (Sunday) a hard date. If the weather turns to crapola, we have the backup plan of a 'meet and eat'. |

We can probably go. That's too far out to know for sure, but I think we're good. |

If it turned into a Meet, Greet, and Eat....how about dinner? I could make that after Gaurd drill (off at 4pm). If you end up hitting the trails, have a lot of fun. |

Most likely I could make it. |

Of course everything is dependant on how the weather is that day, but maybe we could do a run during the day and then finish up with a dinner? That way we could get maximum participation. I'm just throwing out ideas so that we have a solid plan by the time it rolls around. |

well, how about the 6th? I just looked today, and the Army Vs AF game is the 5th, so I will be working on Sat until at least 9 pm (we got to let tailgaters stay at least 2 hours after the game to party ![]() Pete do you want me to see if I can get you a pair of tickets to the game? No garauntees, but I could try asking one of my buddies up on the hill. Kick off is at 1330. |

Jen and I are still planning for a run/meet and greet on the 6th. We're hoping that we can get a decent sized group together no matter what we do. What trails do we want to run if the weather behaves/doesn't behave? Are people up for dinner afterwards so we can re-hash the days events over a couple of drinks (eg: soda or iced tea ![]() |

Let's do something close to the Springs so you don't have to spend your limited time driving. My votes: China Wall Slaughterhouse Gulch / Crow Hill |

I've never done those but I'm up for just about anything. I'll look them up when I get a chance. I don't mind driving if it means that more people can turn up. |

It is quite a ways away still, but I will plan on coming until something comes up; hopefully it won't. I just got my new shoes on, so I want to test them out. I vote something close to the Springs. Either of the trails Joel recommended would be fine with me! |

My votes: China Wall Slaughterhouse Gulch / Crow Hill Where are these trails, they are not in my copy of CO B&4WD Trails? Do we want a moderate, difficult, or easy trail? I would love to try #59 Hacket Gulch or #58 Longwater Gulch Both of these are difficult and look fun, but From the pictures I think the only prerequisites should be rock rails and full belly skids because of the mogul runs. Also both are dependent upon how high the Platte River is att he start of the trail as to wether we can cross or not. The book says in spring it could be impassible, but with the melting snow, I do not know how high it is. Mt Baldy #61 is all right and rated as Moderate, but honestly I think KS2002KJ (Joe from KS) and I ran most of it in 2wd, so it should be rated as super easy... |

I think everybody has pretty much done Mt. Baldy. I don't have much interest in doing it again. As for where I found the two trails above...check out www.traildamage.com and www.4X4trails.net. They're on one or both of the sites. |
