Let's set something up. I bet China Wall is in good shape at this point. Who wants to go?

Next Sunday? Tomorrow is national guard trianing for me. A chance to get out and get ourselves loosened up for Moab. End of winter shakedown.

If we do decide to do China Wall, there is a guy with a CJ-5 that wants to join us and he might bring some friends with CJ-5s as well. Could be interesting. 8)

I'll see if anyone from Colorado4x4.org has been out there lately. Hopefully it isn't under 3' of snow. If not, next Sunday could work for me. :D

Here's the update: as of last weekend all the snow was gone, but there was some mud. Let's plan for next Sunday then.

I won't be able to make it, atleast not in my jeep. I'm still pretty slammed with orders, I have a UJoint about to go out, and I'm going to start into my full width axles the beginning of April. I hope to have the new axles in and the gears broken in for a shake down run up Chinamans Gulch before Moab. If I get closer to being caught up on orders, I might hitch a ride, but it isn't looking too promising.

Depends on house hunting and getting jeep put back together, I would say 45% for me.

Pretty much 100% go for next Sunday. It will also get me off my booty to install my front discos...I have had them sitting in my living room for a month-and-a-half. Meet you at the Starbucks Joel?

Also, My MOOGS should come in on Monday. Does anyone have a decent press set I could borrow? I could pick it up at China Wall.

Well, I am signing on a house, and have a lot to do now, I am out. Closing on the 5th, so I guess I will have to wait until after I move in. Just going to try to work on the Jeep I guess.

Troy, I see you will get to go to part of MOAB I guess! I have to get mine back together early enough to do a test run before MOAB! Dang what a bad time to move!

So whats the verdict on wheeling this Sunday?

Looks like those who have chimed in include

Joel (Skyjump136)
Dave (Tokyojoe)
Pete (KW AV8R) and maybe friends?
Myself (Kugellager)

Can we get anyone else in for this first run? We have quite a few members in the Denver metro/Colorado Springs area now...

anyone else? ...Bueller?

Do we in the Denver area want to meet at the Safeway/Starbucks in Conifer at 8 or 9am as usual?

It looks like my friends won't be able to make it, seems like his in-laws are in town. So what time should I plan to hit the trail head?

I'm still in. Let's meet at Starbucks at 9:00am.

Sounds good. Pete It took us just slightly more than an hour from the Safeway last time to the northern trail entrance. I think planning for around 10am at the trail is reasonable. Channel 12 on the CB's of course.

Here is the weather forecast for Tarryall today and tomorrow. Should be quite muddy from the snow they are getting today  I think I will bring plastic bags for when I get covered in mud. I have a feeling we will.

I'll be there around 10am on Ch. 12. After looking at the weather forecast, I'm glad I have the Husky Liners and the neoprene seat covers.

Judging from Mapquest I can save about 40 minutes going the southern route and hitting 24. I will meet you guys at the trailhead.

FYI - I think it took us more like 90 minutes from Conifer to Tarryall...also confirmed by Mapquest. Either way we'll see ya there!

Well if I don't see anything from Dave by 7:30-8am tomorrow I will just skip the meet up at Safeway and head out to the trail since I will be the only one coming from this direction.
See you guys there!

Broke a stud trying to chang tires tonight. Had the stocks on and forgot about them until a few hours ago when I hopped on here. Went to change to the MTR's. Not gonna make it.

I don't want to risk off-roading with a wheel missing one stud. Have fun and be safe. I have to make it to that trail sooner or later.
