| Post subject: | New to LOST and to the KJ |
Hi all, I just bought a used '05 KJ last weekend. I've been actively wheeling for about 10 years but recently found myself without a Jeep when I figured out that TJ's with 4.56's and 33's don't make very good commuter/family vehicals. The KJ is my 4th Jeep I've owned. Previously I had a '92 XJ running 33's, sold it for a '99 WJ (stock), then had the before mentioned '99 TJ. I've spent about the last year without a 4x4 of any kind and it was driving myself and surprisingly enough, my wife crazy. We've really missed playing in the hills. Anyway, I'm looking foward to building this KJ up, having some fun and meeting some new wheel'n buddies. Eric Highlands Ranch, CO |

Lift party!!! If it's in the morning, I'll bring Krispy Creme. Someone else needs to bring milk. If it's in the afternoon, I'll bring some Fat Tire and someone else needs to order pizza. Let us know when you plan to do your lift, we'll be glad to help........or stand around and watch, point at this and that, and pretend like we know what we're talking about. |

Thanks for the warm welcome! The lift pary will be tenatively scheduled for next Spring. I'm quite proficient at lifting solid front axles but IFS is new territory for me. The IFS knowledge will be very well recieved. I think an afternoon party sounds best to me I'll order the pizza! Eric |

one thing to keep in mind is the tires that came with your 05 lib. if you got the goodyear wangler st ....... BECAREFUL. alot of people have had issues with these tires. including me. right know mine are sitting on the garage floor after only 6500 miles. growing up in wisconsin and driving 2x4 3/4ton trucks in the snow saved my rear more then once. i had to run in full time 4x4 when it rained cuz the tires were so bad and well dont even get me started about the one snow fall i had to drive in |

Yeah, the stock tires whether they are SR/A's and ST's or whatever, seem to not be very good overall. |
