| Post subject: | Colorado June Trail Run JUNE 9th! Up Near Boulder, CO |
So, what works best for most of you, June 1 or June 8? This will be one of the more challenging trails, so stocker guys will want to hitch a ride if you want to see what the challenging trails are like in a KJ. After the weather this week, we will probably want to find something in the lower elevation. I think Old Chinaman's Gulch would be a good way to start the year of challenging trails. http://www.traildamage.com/trails/index.php?id=1 Or, we could do Middle St. Vrain and Coney Flats if we get a lot of mild built rig interest. We could run Middle St. Vrain first so the mild rigs can come, then have lunch, and the crazy guys can finish running Coney Flats and the rest can run back down Middle St. Vrain since they will already know the lines to take back down. http://www.traildamage.com/trails/index.php?id=18 http://www.traildamage.com/trails/index.php?id=15 I won't be able to take any of my rigs, so I'll have to hitch a ride and be a spotter. If we do the run June 1, I believe Ted will be able to go. If it is on the 8th, I think Ted will either be at work, or in Yellowstone, can't remember when that trip is. So, if on the 8th, I'll either catch a ride, or see if I can steal Ted's junk. |

Do you mean the 2nd or 9th? 1st and 8th are Fridays. Either trail will be fine by me. I am off both days as I am taking leave for the weekend of the 9th. I will be going to Yellowstone on the 12th. |

Yeah, I meant 2nd or 9th. I was reading through some trip reports on CO4x4, and a KJ went up with another group last year and did both MSV and Coney Flats just fine, but skids and sliders were highly recommended for Coney. |

I may be able to attend depending on how the now slightly larger family are doing. |

Well since we already run Chinamans Gultch,I'd say run the MVS and coney flats.Don't get me wrong Chinamans Gultch(I'd like to do it again) is very fun but it's nice to do different trails.Either trail is fine but the 9th works better for me. Congrats Pete! |

OK, so it seems Saturday, June 9, at MSV/Coney Flats would work best for everyone. Maybe we'll have a much better turnout this time. |

Sounds good to me, I will have two rug rats in tow. So Marty, you can ride with me and Quinton can sit in back w/the other 2 to keep him occupied |

We did MSV/Coney Flats a couple years back. We had 4 or 5 KJs. Very doable for most of our rigs with one fun rocky section and a good water crossing. |

I can't remember if my wife is graduating on Friday the 8th or Saturday the 9th. If her thing is on Friday, I'd love to ride along with someone. |

Hello everyone, I would really like to join you all this weekened. Unfortunately I am on complete overload. I am taking 14 credits this term in addition to my full time job. I might be available for the July run, but probably won't make it back out until August. Take lots of pictures so I know what I am missing. |

Okay, I just PM'd 107 people listed in Colorado, that I could find...and a few Wyoming people since this is a trail North of Denver. This is not just for KJ owners. If you hit the trails with any 4x4 (well, not ATV's - you probably wouldn't want to do it with SUV's), but I wouldn't rule people out for it, then join us. |

you take lots of pics!! lol I'll do what I can but, having just driven about 300 miles last weekend, and doing some stuff I really shouldn't have (without armor):
I don't think I'll have the gas to make this one but, like I said, I'll do what I can to muster up some gas money. Sounds like fun and I kind of miss the M. St. Vrain valley a bit. Been about 4 years since I've been down there. |
