Hey y'all,

Deep south is making its summer run again out to CO in late july early august time. The plan this year is for the leadville area. Breakin the New Orleans heat in August is a neccesesity. So the point of this thread is to figure out three things. What's the best campin, fishin, and wheelin near the leadville area. I already know what the trails.com peeps say. I want know from y'all local folk, what y'all got to say. We don't need (or want) any modern camping ammenities. A lake that is tough to get to, altitude that makes ya sick, and trails that a LIB w/ skids, hooks, rails, and revo's can take is what we are lookin 4. And, of course, the more the merrier, come join us. As of now there are three Jeeps in the caravan that goes nowhere. We are southerners, so we really have a hard time with things like promptness or scheduling, but if any of you wanna make a run round that time w/ us let me know. The actual dates I'll know in the next month or so. This is the brainstormin time.

Heya! I hope early August. I'll be playing in Alaska through the month of July. Leadville is awesome. I love the little town at 10,000+ ft altitude. Turqoise Lake is great if it isn't low still from the years of drought.

Keep us informed. I'd definitely be interested in catching one day with you guys. That's probably all I could get upon my return.

http://www.fourteenernet.com/album/twinlakes/index.htm Twin Lakes/Mt. Elbert area is nice and is just a few miles South of Leadville. Lots of great scenery and near a lot of the trails in the Leadville/Buena Vista area.

We spent a couple of weeks in Buena Vista in late September and really enjoyed it. That is the second time we have spent our "Fall vacation" in Buena Vista.

We'll be in Silverton the last 2 weeks in July.

Bill,

Sounds great. We may have to plan something that way in late July.

How's the ticker? Mine is doing good now. I am allowed to do my normal activities. Just wish I didn't start feeling a little worried with every little pang that I feel. Doc said he didn't need to see me for another 3 yrs.

I "think" the heart is OK now, took a nuclear stress test today and didn't have any chest pains, that was a good sign.

If the doctor said 3 years it sounds like you are pretty safe or he would want you back in 6 months to a year.

Just pay attention to your body, it will tell you if there is something wrong. If you feel anything too much out of the ordinary get it checked out promptly.
