hello all! My name is Darryl and i just got my KJ 2 nights ago, and i love it. Its so much better than the Kia Sportage i had in high school. I got a 4x4 Sport with the Appearance package (body colored bumpers, trim, and fog lights), the customer preferred package, and off road package. Got it with 4.9% interest, not bad for a 19 year old, and the payments i wanted so i took it. I cannot wait to start modding it and taking it off road. im not familiar with jeeps so i have no idea what this cars capabilities are. maybe someday ill go up to some trails and find out what a stocker can do? anywhoo i hope to meet up with some other colorado kj owners soon! |

Well, you will be surprised what a KJ can do. As for 4.9%, that is an awesome rate! We do at least one stocker freindly run a month, so keep your eyes on the thread. This weekend's trip will not be stocker friendly, but I am sure someone may have a seat if you want to see what even a few mods will do for a KJ, and meet all of us of course. Welcome to LOST. |

That's a tough call, as I don't think most or any of us have run this trail before. I'm pretty sure the Bunce School Road would be stocker friendly, but Iron Clads may be a little much. Do you have skids and tow points? |

i most certainly do... i made sure i got the off-road package when i got it. even looked underneath to make sure they werent cheating me, lol. is there any way i can bring the kj and park it and possibly ride with someone else, which i think USAFCOP was telling me to do? so i guess the more important question is does anyone have room? |

gosh i dont have the money, tools, or manpower to mod the jeep right now, i dont even know where to start. i mod cars to make them better, but so far the jeep is perfect! im quite sure when i get it off road its flaws will become more obvious, but back and forth to work shows a flawless vehicle. everything comes together well. i was really suprised at how comfy it was on the highway and nighttime illumination from the headlights. i am curious to see what HID's would do... im thinking they would look fantastic at night. there is one thing though, the auto tranny is very reluctant to downshift when passing/merging, but im confident that as the miles add up and it learns my driving style it will work much better. so as of now... no mods, its perfect!! |
