Any suggestions? We had a great turnout at the last run, so hopefully we can keep that up. Would June 23 or June 30 work best? June 23 is kind of short notice so I'm thinking the 30th might be best. The end of month trail is usually the scenic stocker trail run with our meeting, but since we had so many show up for the last run on Iron Clads, we probably don't need another meeting this month. I can't think of any stocker trails off the top of my head that are not still covered with snow. Since our last couple of trail runs have been fairly easy trails (Cascade Creek, Iron Clads), anyone opposed to doing something a little more challenging? Maybe some of the inexperienced and stocker guys could ride shotgun and find out what wheeling a Liberty on a challenging trail is all about? Only somewhat stocker friendly trail that comes to mind without being covered in snow is China Wall.

The more challenging trail that comes to mind would be Chinaman's Gulch.

If we decide on a challenging trail, we might consider something new and in the area of most interest (those at the last meeting will know what I'm talking about). From reading trail reports on CO4x4, we might want to try Red Elephant Hill, then take the Mill Creek Loop, and then come down Bill Moore Lake. Latest reports show Bill Moore mostly clear up past treeline, but not all the way to the lake.

Red Elephant Hill

Mill Creek
http://www.traildamage.com/trails/index.php?id=105
Bill Moore Lake
http://www.traildamage.com/trails/index.php?id=12

If we do those three trails it will be a long day, but we will knock out three trails to investigate on my list I have put together that we should explore.

If you ran Iron Clads, these three trails are rated the same. If we have a turnout like Iron Clads, we should probably get started on the trail by 0930 at the latest. I think it was almost 1100 before we started Iron Clads, and with that many rigs on an unknown trail to us, it took up most of the day.

So, let's find out what day works best, who plans to come, and what trail everyone is most interested in, and go from there.

Red elephant hill,Mill Creek, and Biil Moore lake sound fun.I'm looking at 4 days off next weekend(21st-24th) but if it's better the 30th will work to,so far I don't have to work that weekend.Getting my new tires on saturday so need to test them out real good, gotta see if the Truxis MT's are worth a darn! Though I wouldn't mind running Chinaman's again, that was a very fun trail, but the more new trails we run in the area in ? is probally better for you know what  .

Can we look at a Sunday? End of Month would probably be best but it is also the 4th Weekend and a lot of travelers.

I am working that weekend. So I wouldn't be able to make it. At least I don't think so.

At this point, I can't commit to anything ... visiting family, getting ready for deployment, possibly working 6 day weeks, etc...

So are we looking at 1 July?

If so, who wants a doped up guy with a big GPS in thier Jeep? I will be questionable at best, it all depends on how I am feeling after my surgery, might sleep through most of the trip
