Okay, 3 day weekend for some of you out there. How about a run? Will decide on a trail by Thursday and where to meet.

If you want to go, reply ASAP!!! If you want to go but not drive your own KJ, let us know on here. We could let a couple of you go for a ride. We always need a picture taker (hahaha) for posing shots.

WHAT: Off-roading
WHEN: Saturday or Sunday October 8 or 9
WHERE: Perhaps up near Boulder or closer to Idaho Springs
WHY: Why not

Please state: Yes or No. If yes, which day you prefer.

Let's get a great showing for once.[/b]

David, I'm game for Saturday. Pick a trail ASAP though. We should let people know what they are getting in to (ie easy, medium, or hard). In fact, maybe edit your post so people say their preference in difficulty as well.

I'll go on any level trail.

I got some trail ideas off of www.4x4trails.net. These are all relatively close by and are rated 4-7 out of 10 in difficulty. To give the new folks an idea...4 would be basically a dirt road with some rocks and maybe a slight incline here and there. 7 would be some off camber situations, bigger rocks, steep inclines, etc. A stock KJ could do a 4 or 5 pretty easily and some easier 6 rated trails with good spotting. So with that I leave you to ponder the following options...

Carnage Canyon / Lefthand Canyon - 6/10, close to Boulder
China Wall - 7/10, close to Colorado Springs
Gillespie Gulch - 6/10, close to Boulder
Jenny Creek - 7/10, close to Idaho Springs
Leavenworth Creek / McClellan Mountain - 6/10, close to Georgetown
Radical Hill - 6/10, close to Brekenridge
Redcone Pass - 7/10, same area as Radical Hill
Slaughterhouse Gulch / Crow Hill - 5/10, close to C. Springs
Webster Pass - 4/10, same area as Radical Hill and Redcone

Post subject:  Greetings

Just signed up for the forum! Definetly excited to go on a run sometime soon. Currently running a stock 04 Sport. Did just upgrade the tires to 235/70R 16 on a Wrangler Silent Armor. Great tire. Girl has school on Saturday's but I think Sunday runs could work out. Even if I can't make this one i'm really glad to find you guys. Will be picking all your brains on mods for this sucker. We are looking into lifting it next.

I'm up for a run, an easy one that a stock KJ could do (decided its time to buy a house so the mod budget is really low)

Saturday works best for me

We can always do a little bit of everything. Those with stock KJs can hop in with somebody else if we wanted to do some more difficult offshoots.

Keep in mind that Redcone, Webster, and Radical Hill are all close together. There's some easy, medium, and difficult all built in...

I have work on Saturday (I'm in high school). Otherwise I'd definitely go! If Sunday somehow pulls through then I'm in.
On a slightly different note...My new tires are 11 days away! Will all the good trails close soon? I know the local OHV area, Rampart Range (Douglas and Park Counties), is open year-round, while the road giving me easiest access to this area is closed at Sept. 1st till spring (Dakan Rd.). I'm pretty sure we can get access to it from Highway 67 in the Indian Creek area, which eventually connects with Rampart Range Road.

I am in for either day, any trail rating he he

If on Sunday, I may have my front end redone, if on Sat, I will do that on Sun or Mon, So by Nov I will have my front of frankenlift on hopefully...

Looks like Sunday so far though. And if a stocker wants to ride, I will most likely have an empty front seat.

Well, I won't know until Saturday if I'm available for a Sunday ride (might be heading out camping, but it sure is getting cold out there...). If I'm around, I'd love to go. USAFCOP, I may take you up on your offer to carry a stalker...err, I mean a stocker...with you. If it turns out that I can go, I'll post Saturday, otherwise, assume I'm out in the wilderness fending off a bear or hypothermia or any of those other fun camping things....

Saturday is a possibility. What about Wheeler Lake?

Not sure if this plays into it for anyone, but the weather for Saturday is supposed to be sunny and mid 70s. Sunday is thunder storms and high 60s.

I'm still voting for a Saturday run.

We have not done a Saturday run in awhile. All of the runs I've done have been on Sunday. It's about time we started getting some responses whether +/- because it allows us to work things out.

Again, we can do an easy to moderate, then let people hop into our rigs to do a harder trail afterwards so you can get a feel for what KJ's can do....or if you don't want to even do any trail in your KJ, we'd be glad to take you on the trails also.

On Saturday the girl has school from 8-4. I have to pick her up, but if we will be back in town before that I can go. If the run is on Sunday her and I both will be going. If we can't catch up with you guys Saturday we will make sure to be there for the next one.

That shouldn't be a problem. We usually meet at 9:00am. As long as everyone shows up on time and we get to the trail quickly you should get back by 4:00. If we do something close by then you definitely won't have a problem.
