Who's up for doing another run before the snow flies? We should be able to do some lower altitude stuff for quite a while, but if there's a pass you just gotta see now would be the time.

Any ideas? When would be good?

I'm up for it on Sunday (unless my gf wants to just spend time in the mountains viewing Fall Foliage). Definitely Saturday is out for me.

Perhaps we can do a medium trail for those with no mods and still get the Fall Foliage viewing in (take more time at the scenic areas)

I'll find out what Sarah thinks about that.

Who else wants to hit the trails? Medium (few mods or stock with more viewing time at the scenic areas) or a "hard" trail that requires mods (lift and skids at a minimum).

Isn't the Great American Beer Festival this weekend?

i dont think this weekend should be an issue. fuel didnt go through the roof so thats a big plus for me.

i know the wife will have school work on sat and the race for the cure on sunday. so as long as she didnt come up with a huge honey-do list, i should be good :)

i'm good with medium or hard but i would lean a little more towards the fall colors :)

i ran seven mile last weekend for foliage viewing. we were in the ft. collins area and my wife got a wild hair to go look at trees. it is a fairly easy trail (i can only think of about 2 spots a stocker may have a problem) and the aspens were all starting to change

it is kind of a drive though since it is out poudre canyon

also, we usually do a snow run up moffat road (the gravel road that you take to get to jenny creek) every year. it is a blast and a great way to brush up on your recovery skills

i will be sure to post up when we go. last year the libby did better than some of the sfa guys on 33s. the ifs front turns the libby into a sled and it kinda slides across the top instead of plowing through the deep stuff

We accidently did a snowmobile trail for a couple feet last year. And got to practice a little recovery. I would definatley be in for a smow trip this year.
With the Bronco game at 11:00 sunday, I probably won't make a sunday run. Saturday is ok for me though.

broncsrule,

You going to the game? You can always let your wife drive and take a portable TV and sit in the back while she drives the trails.

well, I could go either day.
Just need to know, Friend invited me over to watch my Seahawks kill his Redskins... of course he said it the incorrect way around :P

As for the Broncos... They suck, but hey at least they beat the Chiefs.... who do I hate more.... Ok maybe St. louis
I just need to make sure that I get my trailer done before it gets too cold to paint!

It looks like we have one that can't go on Saturday (TokyoJoe) and one that can't on Sunday (Broncsrule).

Then we have three that can go either day (both Teds and myself). It doesn't look like anything is decided. If we wait much longer it will be Sunday by default though!

If anyone would rather one day over the other please chime in.

Just curious as to where do all these people, that are in the Springs-Denver area that have posted on here, hide?

Speak up all. Would like to know yes or no just so we know people are alive and still interested in hitting trails.

I'd love to go on the run with you guys. Can someone arrange transportation for one from Sinjar, Iraq to Colorado Springs and back? I can't seem to get my reservations changed with the airline I've got tickets with. :?

so are we wheeling or not...

I wanna see gunderted's CRD!!

anyway, r we going or not? I do not know where to go, we could go somewhere down here or anywhere.

Or if no one wants to wheel, we could just hang out and enjoy the beautiful USAF Academy, and you could all help me install the front of my frankenlift upgrade and finnish sanding and schlacking my trailer...

Okay.....my vote.....Sunday

Usual meeting place (Morrison Park & Ride, exit 259) at 0900 (9:00am for non-military). As to the trail, we always seem to pick something then....LOL! Perhaps up in Area 2 (Trails Vol 2) or Area's 4 or 5 in Vol 1.

If the voting goes in favor of Saturday, my feelings won't be hurt, but my KJ will pout all day Sunday.....LOL!.

College football Saturdays, Pro football Sundays. Regardless, I rarely get to see my Buckeyes or Bengals play on TV here.
