Good to see you again, Phil! Don't be a stranger. Stop by at least once a week to chime in or say hi. Two minute break to get a Jeep fix or at least a cyber KJ fix. Sorry, I am doing 4-day National Guard weekend. So I can't go. Two days of 0300-1100. Today was the first one. I am a tired dead puppy right now. Talk about screwing up a sleeping pattern! |

Tokyojoe, Thanks for the reply. It has been a really strange summer. I have twin daughters in college, one in Grand Junction. We moved her into a rental house in June and there have been a lot of "issues". My wife and I made seven trips over there this summer to get things under control, and that ate up my weekends and vacations. I did no 4-wheeling at all this summer. I still lurk the forums and hope to get more involved in the future. Maybe next summer!!! |

That very well could have been me.... but I am pretty sure that was you I drove by on Florida today with my bike on the roof. So Engineer pass was a no-go. The only person I could get to go with me had a brand new 4 runner that they hadn't even driven 500 miles yet so I didn't want to take the chance. (my wrangler ST's aren't inspiring either haha) . So we wound up climbing Park Transfer Road north of Durango. I'll post up some pics as soon as they give them to me. |

Well I am interested but I'm not familiar with that road. Is it do-able for a stock height vehicle on crap tires? If so.... I'm in... PM me with details and we can work it out. |

I drove Engineer pass years ago in an International Scout II, no problems, beautiful drive. I did run across an old 70s Chevy Nova that was having trouble, but I think even a Subaru Outback could negotiate the road without too much trouble. |
