Hey guys, I know I haven't been around for a while. One of the reasons is that I have been travelling A LOT for my new job (same company) and the other is that I need to work on my KJ before we can get back out on the trails.

SOOOOO...I need your help! My upper control arm needs to come off and the bushing re-welded (Marty you reading this?) and I also need to replace some bolts on the top strut plate (those also need to be spot welded). So if you want to see how the front end comes apart this could be helpful for you. If you have a spring compressor or some welding skills it would be a big help to me.

Can anybody help on October 20th or 21st? Which is better?

Thanks in advance guys. I can't wait to get the KJ back in trail shape. :D

Any idea where this will take place? I'd be very interested in lending a hand.

Regarding your PM about the geometry, I think I understand what you're saying. I'll send you a sketch detailing what my understanding is.

21st might work for me, if I am not hungover from the Halloween party on Saturday. 20th is a no go (see 1st sentence).

Alright, sounds like the 21st is going to work best. Let's plan for that. Now the location. There is plenty of room in my garage, but I don't have any welding equipment once we get this thing torn apart. Any ideas there?

I'll be at church until 1-1:30, but after that, I can weld those up for you. Shouldn't take long to get that stuff apart, prep, weld, paint, reassemble. So, you are welcome to bring it down here.

Thanks Marty. Troy also has an on board welder, correct? This stuff doesn't have to be perfect so maybe that could work?

That gopher needs to gopher his trigger mech, that 240 won't work too well without that, no other way to hold it w/o burning his hair not to mention his butt stock is broke, leading me to think he also has a broken buffer
Yep, figures, the gunsmith goes and ruins a perfectly funny pick.
On my Gov E-mail, I had a squirrel rocking a 60 whereing an SF Beret in my sig line, until they told me to remove it because it made my email too large for the server.

So back on topic, are we doing this at Marty's? or elsewhere? What time? What tools do I need to bring? Or is Jeep Depot bringing all the tools? If you need/want the Air Compressor, I will need help loading it, as I do not have enough strength in my hand to lift it yet w/o pain.

Well if anyone has a garage they are willing to offer up in C. Springs I am up for that. Sounds like Marty will not be available until 1:30 or so. Ted, Troy...what kind of garage situation do you guys have? I don't want to do this outside. If there are no other options then I guess we'll have to do the break down and reassemble in my garage.

Sunday is my only day off this month... This month has felt like Troy's schedule

I should be good, As far as in the garage, mine is pretty low, so I do not think it will fit, that and I have some stuff cluttering the floor

With what needs done, we could do it in the aftenoon if Marty is still available @1:30...

Now back to paper writing :x

So do everything at Marty's then? Tear down, weld, and reassemble? Marty is that okay with you?
