I have had my '02 KJ for just over a year. As my user name suggested it's my 1st Jeep. My brother had a 95 wrangler that I used to beat on. I have been going to Moab for years. Lived in Utah all but a couple of my 31 years. Love the KJ! I'm no mechanic but have installed the mods myself. If I take it apart I can usually put it back together. Willing to help anybody I can.

Post subject:  Moving to Denver

Hi everyone. TokyoJoe told me to stop in on your club and check you guys out. I am a LOST member and currently live in Iceland. My wife and I are going to be moving to Denver hopefully next May. I currently own a 2005 Rocky Mountian edition. I have a Frankenlift on the way and Rubicon wheels and tires waiting to be put on after the lift is installed.

One I get back to the states I will be adding full skids, boulder bars etc. They are too heavy to have shipped over here.

Anyway I look forward to seeing all of you when we get there.

Gary

Hey everyone. Dan here, brand new to LOST and to the KJ (and Jeeps, for that matter!)--this is my first post!. Just got an 05 Renegade while the 'employee pricing' deal was still on. I LOVE IT! Everything's stock now, and most likely will be for some time. I've nver done any serious off-roading but would love to get together for some rides to see what my (and other's) KJ is capable of.

One quick one for you--I realize the 'ground clearance' is actually 6.4 (not 9.0 as on the Jeep website). Has anyone travelled up Stewart (Stuart?) Road to camp up near Alice/St Mary's Glacier? The reason I ask is, I couldn't make it in the Subaru Forester and my friend in an old Blazer had to come down the road to get me. Will my KJ make it, I wonder?

Looking forward to getting to meet some folks and get LOST with my KJ!

05 Renegade.
Stock everything, but skid plates on the way. Look forward to more modifications, but figure I better make the first payment before I get too crazy.

John from Lakewood CO.

Stock KJ Sport with the offroad package, skids, tires, 3.7L, etc.

Tried the easy side of Georgia pass last weekend and Jones pass this weekend...Easy rides but oh what fun for my first trips.

First planned mods are some wheels I can beat on and more aggressive tires than the stock 235/70 Wrangler SR-A's...Plan of putting BF Goodrich MT T/A K0 on either Rock Crawler series 97 or 51 wheels...we'll see how that plan goes. Considering a little lift so I can fit 255/70's on the wheels...also a brush guard is definitely something I need.

Don't waste you rmoney on a Brush guard if you are thinking it is needed for off-roading.

You should get your lift before larger tires because you can't use much in the way of larger tries on an unlifted KJ.

Do you have a transmission skid (not the transfer skid)? If not, that should be your very next purchase for off-roading in Colorado.

That Avatar is kinda spooky.

Brian from Loveland, CO

2005 KJ Sport CRD Stone White (my daily driver)
2.5" Hybrid lift with Daystar spacers in front (stock struts), and 2.5" Skyjacker springs in back (SJ Nitro Shocks).
245/75/16 MTRs on Jeep Moab rims (because it just looks right). I'm still trimming areas of the front to keep it from rubbin'.
JKS Supernerf RockRails
MOPAR tranny skid
Aeroturbine 2525 exhaust
DIGI CR performance tuning module (in the mail, I'll update anyone interested parties on how effective it is once it arrives)

That's it for MODs right now. Any more and my wife might divorce me. This is my third Jeep. The others were a '77 CJ and a '01 TJ. She was never around for that initial "gotta make it mine" reaction when it's new.
It's a Jeep thing, she's starting to understand.

I have yet to take it out and beat on it. So, I'll keep watching the Rockies threads to see if there are any group runs before spring.
I would be more than happy to help with mods, assuming I have the time. I do not have alot of experience, but take instruction well if someone needs an extra wrench.

"My name is Brian and I'm a Jeepaholic..." Admitting it is the first step. :P

Glad to have you on board. We'll have a wrench-a-thon within the next month or so and you are more than welcome to hang / help out. It was scheduled for this Saturday, but I had to send a part back for replacement.
