Hey everybody, just wanted to post up that I am moving to Albuquerque this weekend. It'll probably take me a bit to settle in but I'll be looking for any runs planned in the local area. Gonna be quite an adjustment after spending the past six years in Phoenix - I had almost forgotten what 'winter' really means :P See ya soon...

Welcom back, but unfortunally I wouldn't be going on any albuquerque runs anytime soon. Stuck here in the darn midwest for the next year and a half.

Hey, welcome! I'm glad you're going to be down there. There hasn't been much activity in NM for a while now. Getting local runs together will depend a lot on you. That's not a bad thing, just a bit of a challenge. Anyway, it's good to have another committed member in NM.

I'll definitely be checking out your Frankenlift - don't know if thats the route I want to go but it is an option.

Update: Nate, do you have someone helping with the install? If not I might be able to lend a hand (that way I could see what is involved with installing one). Either that or I'll spend Sunday putting my boulder bars on.

no I dont have anyone to help at the moment. I'm going to get ahold of charles (thechucklesstart) and see if he's free on sunday, but it would be awesome if you came. We can do my frankenlift and your boulderbars at the same time... 8)

I've already gotten to taking off the wheels, moving the air box, and removing the battery just to see exactly what I'm going to need to do, so there's no surprises. I have to go buy a couple of things like an extension for the torque wrench, but other than that I'm set... I'll PM you tomorrow with my phone #, but I have to go to bed, I have a calculus test tomorrow.

Later... -Nate

Ugh, took me two semesters to get thru first-semester calculus - I don't care for much of anything past trig. Good luck with the test. I probably won't get the PM until Saturday, but I'll give ya a call. It would definitely be easier to put the boulder bars on with some help.

You guys should try to set up a Lift/Rail party there and try to get others to join in.

Where is this mod party I would be very happy to try to make it. It is a 2 hour drive though from socorro.

Do you have an F-Bit. That is the one thing that I know you need for boulder bars that is not too common (the people in the off-road club here have never even heard of one).

I would be happy to lend a hand in putting the frankin lift on. The front is a pain, but I think I know how to do it know. (where when I did it I needed to disconnect one more bolt to get it to work, but I didn't think about that till I had had someone install it)

Sorry I haven't been too responsive, this weekend was tech's homecoming. (that and my computer died a week ago)

PS wish you could come Ed

Nate, dont know when you were planning to start the install but I need to return my U-haul before 10 tomorrow morning; after that I should be free. Just got into town this afternoon and got everything unloaded, man I am beat. I'll PM ya my number. Charles, if you can come that would be cool. I'll probably drop by Home Depot or Sears tomorrwo and pick up a 'F' drill bit.

Okay, glad to hear you got here safely Kevin. My jeep is sitting in my driveway with the hood up, and the air intake and battery removed. I was trying to think ahead and get the silly stuff out of the way before you guys get here. How does 10:30 am sound Kevin? Since you're going to be up and about anyways, and we can have plenty of daylight left in case it ends up being a pain in the rear.

For my frankenlift, we ought to get the rear put on first, just to get it out of the way (its easier I hear...). Then we can hash out the front. Charles, I'll try to call you at around 8:30 am, to see if you want to make the drive out here.

Later. -Nate
