Since I missed out on all the fun this past weekend since I was homeless at the time, I think I am in a better position to hit the trails in the next few weeks. Or atleast a meet and greet. I need to meet some people. I'm using the sister in law's dial up until my cable internet gets setup, and it is killing me how slow this thing is. Must meet people outside of family very soon or all of my hair will become gray.:D Anyone up for BBQ pork burgers and baked beans?

works for me, When we want to BBQ... not going to be too many good days left...

Are you done unloading?

If you need any help tomorrow, let me know, I got my 3 day weekend.

As for a run, I will go any weekend, only day bad for me is the Sunday before Turkey day.

I'd do Friday since it is a holiday but too short notice for most.

I'm game as long as the gf doesn't make early plans.

Yep, tomorrow is too short notice for wheelin. Truck is unloaded, now we have to unpack the boxes into their correct rooms. I could probably use some help, if not some company. Give me a call tomorrow around 10 Ted if you want to come by, and anyone else for that matter. Mostly just need to set up my office and carry a bunch of bumper boxes to the basement. Gotta get offline for tonight, but give me a call tomorrow Ted and whoever else.

Later

looks like a few of us are going snow wheeling up moffat road (above rollinsville-it is the gravel road you take to get to jenny creek) the saturday after thanksgiving. anyone interested?

so far it looks like a couple cherokees, a couple wranglers and me. it usually ends up being a fun day of snow bashing and winching

I need to install my Frankenlift and finish installing my boulder bars before I do any serious offroading again...I want to take the tougher paths rather than the drive arounds next time. These getting dark early nights suck.

Borrow someone's 2-car garge to do the work on a weekend.

Sounds like we need a wrench-a-thon...
Jetson is getting ready to get a lift too, and I always have something to do or am willing to wrench.
All we need is a location... Hopefully somewhere central, I would say down here or buckley at auto skills center, but here they will not let you work on vehicles not owned by DOD employees or service members

Also I have my old home brew 2" front 2.5" rear lift for sale anybody... PM me an offer...

Buckley doesn't have an Auto Hobby. Too new of a base. Someone in the Denver metro with a 2-car garage would work best. Too tight to do all that work in a single car garage.

I of course I would be very open to any suggestions as I have a worthless one-car garage with stairs that lead to the basement... though my driveway is adequate...though not heated...Would you have to be DOD or maybe just a federal employee with govt. ID might work? We both have the same ultimate boss as I too work for the government (DOI/USGS). ;)

WooHoo! I finally have the high speed internet up and running.:D

This settling in thing is a great big pain. Still emptying boxes, watching two kids, and the wife is working evenings, so I've been a busy guy. Have yet to clear out the garage enough to get the XJ trailready. Need to reset the trackbar and align it, put in a new thermostat, and the brakes really need replaced before hitting the trails, plus the usual overdue fluid changes. So, a full days worth of work and it will be trail ready. This weekend may pretty well be out for me. I need to come up with a pickup truck to go to Denver and pick up a rear full width 9" axle this weekend.

Ted, sorry I didn't return your call the other day. Can't even think of the reason why right now. I'm usually free for some help before 1600 if the offer is still good. Just need to get that garage emptied out and those boxes down to the basement. Once the garage is cleared, I won't mind and occassional wrench party, just prefer no overnight projects. I have jackstands, a 3 ton jack, and a few tools (no air tools at this time), so a lift and rock rails shouldn't take but a few hours, plus I would like to get more familiar with the KJ setup since I am getting into putting together my own lift kits (Rock Lizard XJ kits now available).

No go for me this weekend I'm on call for work and can't leave the house...except to go to work. I think I'm going to take a crack at the front end for my lift kit...see how over my head I can get. LOL
