Membership in LOST Rockies counts regardless of residence. However, the elections is for the COlorado Chapter. We all come together in the end, and as for the guest membership on trail runs, as a member of LOST Rockies, you can attend NM UT and CO runs.

As it sits though, CO is the only organized chapter as of yet.

I believe that we may be able to waive the limit for guests on a case by case basis depending upon the officers' opinions. If you are attending a run by invite, or you are coming in and tag along, that is fine. It is not fair in my opinion for someone who comes out to visit 2-3 times a year to not be allowed to go on a run w/us just because he/she is not a member and lives in NY. Just my 2 cents.

Officers however need to be residents and members

What if there is not enough interest from Colorado resident members to fill every position. Would you then except out of state resident members?

Ideally, no, but it all depends upon participation. Face it, the officers guide any organization and motivate its members as leaders, if you cannot come to meetings or events because of fuel costs or what not, then it is pointless, and the officer seat is a filled seat with little to no action. I am not trying to be mean, just stating facts.

However, there are exeptions to everything, so we need to see what happens. We are all busy, and broke, so we need to fix this club.

Either way, we can’t deny the heard is thin. In my opinion, you should have free membership just because you have a CRD and a pink shovel

I am honored to have earned that shovel and display it proudly! 8)

I hear what you're saying Ted and as long as you guys don't mind me coming around all leachy like, I'll be around. My plans to move back to the area are back in full swing again.

I consider you guys good friends and credit you with gaining my interest in wheeling my KJ.
