6th Annual Christmas Caravan for Kids

OK all, 6th of December Christmas Caravan for kids. I plan to go to the fairgrounds so my toys will go to Toys for Tots. Plan to meet at the Arapahoe Home Depot to meet the caravan. Lets get a big group of modded Libs!

Anybody??? No one near Denver???

This is the largest Toys for Tots toy run in Colorado, the toys go to deserving kids that may not get a christmas at all w/o this program. Toys do not have to be big or expensive, just new and unwrapped. Then at the Fairgrounds, CO4x4 has a free raffle w/cool prizes:
As in past years we are planning for the day to include a free hot dog lunch and a free raffle drawing. Yes, the State Association raffle jeep will be given out that day. Individuals and groups can help out by getting as many vehicles and toys to the event as possible. If your group has any $$$ available a donation toward the cost of putting on the event is always appreciated. Also, if your group has any contacts for PR/marketing of the event please let me know as positive publicity is always a good thing.

If things were different, I'd be there no question. You can count on me for 2009 though.

I think I can do this. The East Metro group meets not too far from me. So all we do is bring a toy or two to the event? Don't they fill the vehicles with toys and deliver them?

no we meet at different locations, convoy to the JeffCo events center (all convoys merge on 6th), then we fill the Marine trucks.

The three years I have met there, it has been a big group. There will be a ton of rigs at the fairgrounds

Northern Colorado Locations generally form up in Greeley, Loveland, Longmont. Watch for those details.

more info, instead of dash plaques, they are doing anteanna flags. The head of each location are listed below:
We will have flags at all of the Metro locations and with Kerry up north. Your leaders at each location are

Loveland/Longmont/Ft. Collins--Kerry
East-- Richard and Monica (Blue TJ)
Home Depot--Don and Tess (either a oversized Yellow Wrangler or a Green DD TJ)
Southwest Plaza --Eric (Red 04 TJ)
Westminster Mall --Eric

So who in the springs is going up for the toys for tots run Saturday?

The arapahoe HD location departs at 10, so we need to leave the springs by at least 815-830. Wanna caravan? Breakfast at 0700 at IHOP first?

Zach is supposed to get out of the hospital on Friday evening now. Jen is up for it (if only to get out of the house) unless Friday night goes too badly. I'll let you know how things turn out.
