Like I have said I will be in Colorado for leave. I have been snowboarding for a little over 13 years and would like to know if any of you would be interested in going to a little trip to play in the snow. If you dont know how to snowboard but want to learn I could teach you... just as long as you dont give up. Its open to skiers as will... I have no problem with skiers but dont ask me for help because I dont know how to ski. I plan on going at least 7 days so if you have the time let me know.

Where are you going to be? You have backcountry gear? We're pretty much doing this any chance we get:

Aren't you the guys who start avalanches and end up on the sides of milk cartons?

Im always down for some back country. In Nor Cal I used to go to Alpine Meadows just for the back country. As for where I will be Crested Butte, Monarch, Breckenbridge and may be Winter Park all sound good to me. Oh and for the record I havnt caused any avalanches... lol... my buddy has though.

I think you mean dumb Utah folk. The smart ones usually don't get caught and are prepared!

I live in Winter park, if you are ever in the area or want to head up here, let me know. I still think we should organize a bbq/tailgater at a ski are for a meet and greet.

I would be down for that!! Thats what me and my buddies would do in NOR CAL because of the food prices at the resort. We would always bring my little grill with some burgers, hot dogs and beer. People in the parking lot would come up to us and offer money for some food. For me and my buddies 18 bergers and 12 hot dogs were alittle much for us. We always ended up eating for free and meeting some really cool people. If thats something people will want to do Im in... just remember I will only be in Colorado untill the 15th.

I'll do some mountain biking at Winter Park. I am just a Greens Snowboarder so no backcountry for me.

i'm taking my first trip to CO ever march 10-14.. flying into denver then heading to breckenridge... have a 3 day pass that's good for breck, copper mtn, and a day at either vail or beaver creek.. so i will be snowboarding around there for that entire time :) i really love CO from what i've seen/read and hope to live there when i get outta school next year so i figured i'd better visit before i move there.

any insider tips for someone how has only snowboarded in NY? been doing it for 6 years so far.

ps. REALLY excited for the lift at breck that goes to the summit at 12,600 feet

The snow is a lot more forgiving/softer. when you put an edge in it actually will hold. You'll probably find it easier to ride here than east coast. P.S. Drink lots of water.

Let me know when you get in. I ride for free over at copper perhaps we could meet up.

I can set us up with a few (8) 50% off passes, a grill and can block off a corner of one of the upper lots(Mary Jane) for all of us. and if anyone needs a little shop time I think I can get a bay for us that eve. I'd like some more interest tho, if i'm going to set up some shop time. And shop time= full lift ,maybe two, and all tools.

I used to think that skiing/snowboarding was really cool until a girl I knew became paralyzed after an accident at Breck. I still get the willies every time I drive past.

Sorry to hear that. I've seen some pretty bad wrecks and been in a few myself, shattered my heel a few years back. But remember, people get killed walking across the street.
