Trail Run: Little Moab & Other trails near
Other info: Stock form welcomed. Little Moab is just an obstacle and you do not have to go on it. We will play around on it for a bit then go explore other trails near-by.

Highly recommend a radio for communications. We will be using handheld radio's FRS Chan 7/11.

Come out and have fun, you'll be shock how well your KJ can do![/url]

Any Saturday in January or February should be fine for me. My KJ's specs are in my sig, but, hey, I'll go about anywhere. :)

Saturday Jan 14th is bad for me, I'll be in Vegas... Other Saturdays I'm mostly free.

I still have no recovery hooks, no locker, and no rock rails or skids. Someday... :?

Works for me...there are fun places to climb around if you want to (and are suitably equipped), but there's no single obstacle that would keep anyone behind (unless you're driving a lowered Honda Civic, like one kid that was with the UOOC group I went with last time).

I've only been there once, and doubt that I could find it again on my own, but I think I can dig up the directions from the UOOC site.

Sure Little Moab is fine, although it is just an obstacle. There are quite a bit of trails around it though we can just go explore. Rattlesnake trail in near it if you would rather try to tackle it. A stock Grand ran it a few weeks ago ok. But he did hit his rocker pannels....

So on the date, how about Jan 7th or Jan 21st?

I've been wanting to do Rattlesnake for a long time. Either the 7th or the 21st should work for me.

Ok - well then I vote for Rattlesnack the 21st. That way maybe some other utah people have a chance to read this. That sound good?

Sounds fine to me.

If possible, I'd like to start later in the day...maybe 10 or 11 am, or maybe we could meet for lunch somewhere and go from there. My wife has talked me into training for a 100-mile bike race in May, so I need to ride a few miles that day.

Yeah, let's just make it a fun drive that anyone (at least any 4x4) can do.

Am I going to be able to make this trail ride stock? I tried really hard yesterday to get my lift on before, but it is not going to happen. Also, I don't have any skid plates. Is this going to be a problem for these trails, or should I be ok? I would really like to come, sounds like fun.

Well yesterday I tried to hit rattlesnack again to scout it out. We ended getting lost again...

I am getting a detail map to it today.

Depending on who shows up (stock people) we can just explore the trails around the mountains. There is hundreds of them that can be done stock.

I am going to get a full report of the trail and determine what the requirements are.

Come out even if your stock, we'll still have fun running the side trails.

Here's some pics of yesterday:
