I had a bill for $1.00. I didn't pay it within the time limit and got charged $8.00!!!

Pay it on time. I figured it wasn't worth paying online since almost everything has a stupid charge to it so I waited too long to find out that there is no additional cahrge. I wasn't paying by mail either since it costs almost half the bill to do it by mail.

Yeah, I got screwed on E470 and will never take it again. Picked my mom up from the airport and took her back, 12 toll booths in one week. I never got a bill, and then almost three months later got hit with 12 all at once with the toll charge of $2.25 or $2.50 each, plus a $7.00 late fee each, and by the time I received those I was given less than a week before I was charged a $70.00 per toll civil penalty. I can't prove never received the initial tolls, and they can't prove they did send them, so I lucked out with my 12 tolls and only 3 $7 late fees, came to about $50 to spend less than one hour total on that road. If I was out of town the week I got those tolls, I would have had to pay close to $1000 for those 12 tolls. I made another trip a month ago to the airport, went up to the next highway (225?) that cut through Aurora, took the same amount of time, still didn't have to worry about traffic, and I saved enough money to replenish the fuel I spent to go to the airport and back to the springs by not going on the turnpike. Criminals.
