Better that than installing it and THEN finding out you made a mistake.

Ted, I don't know how motivated I am to get these control arms painted and installed this weekend. We should have something to work on. FarleyD, just let us know if you receive the lift (maybe try to get a tracking number from RRO just so we can plan accordingly).

1. We can always help Rock Lizard with measuring, reviewing, and preparing his stuff for our KJ's.
2. Get together, drink some brew, eat some pizza, and work on the By-laws.
3. Plan for a future trail run
4. Look at SpoonyG's CRD as RL checks it out for measurements.
5. Tune a few CB's (mine would be one of them).
6. Go on a nearby trail run instead.
7. Plan on prizes, trails, and other things for Moab.
8. Drink more brew
9. Go cruise (with all of our KJ's) to a local 4x4 shop and put some pressure/muscle on `em to make some other products for KJ's....or buy some things for our KJ's.
10. Drink more brew.

Can also bring computer and work on Bylaws too... But I would rather work on Jeeps...

Who's got the grill? I know you guys didn't plan on not eating anything with all that standing around talking about jeeps and not really accomplishing anything going on. I can work up a real hunger just talking about jeeps, and Ted knows I can eat.:D

I work at Tony's Meats in Castle Rock so I can bring some top quality grilling meat to this event, provided there's a grill. And when I say top quality, I really do mean it. Stop in some time. As for the beer, I'm 17, so no drinkage here. That just makes me a DD, I guess

The order I put those in does not designate the order to do those things. For any underage participants, you will have to drink Root Brew.

I can bring my George Foreman grill.

Sounds like too much fun. I can't take off but maybe I can see if I can leave work at 3pm when the swing shift gets in and swing by around 3:30.

We have a small gas grill and plenty of propane...

Edit: Tony's does have VERY good meat. I'm glad we have an inside man there. :D

I can't wait! I like the way you guys think! Steps 2, 8, & 10 sound good in moderation (please drink responsibly kids).

I just can't shake the image of 6+ KJ's pulling up to the front of the local 4x4 shop in unison (see step 9). It's so "Fast & Furious" meets "Hell's Angels" meets "Tugger: The Flying Jeep"...... or maybe not. It would be cool just the same.

I'll bring a little of the non-New Belgium brew from up north here. Let me know if I need to bring any thing else. I'll bring an extra floor jack and jack stands just in case, but my tool selection is limited.

I went ahead and installed Al's control arms today. 3 hours from wheels off to wheels back on. Not too tough at all. You can really see a big difference! The top of the tire is probably pushed out .75" further than it was. An alignment is most definitely in order. The best part? No more ball joint contact on my spring!

Anyway, let's hope FarleyD gets that combo lift in time for next weekend. Of course there's always the by-laws, planning for Moab, and let's not forget the brew. :D

FarleyD, what's the update? Any lift to install?

Does anybody else have other stuff they'd like to work on? I have some odds and ends to take care of but nothing too involved (sway bar bushings and transfer case service).

I only ask because it isn't shaping up to be a grilling out / working in the garage type weekend. High of 24 degrees on Saturday.

If FarelyD doesn't get the lift in time, would you guys rather meet later (say noon) and do lunch at a restaurant? We could still discuss Moab plans and bylaws.

I'm up for anything. Lunch sounds good. I just would like to meet everybody and get an Idea about the Moab trip. I still haven't figured out if I can go yet.

Doesn't make me too much difference, I just need to fit up a set of sliders to double check my measurements, and to test fit them on an 05-06 model to see what the differences there are. And I need to check out that CRD.

RL.... unless weather really becomes an issue, I will be there so you can take any measurements you need.

Just be gentle, I'm ticklish

Well guys RRO said the parts will not ship till friday. I'll have to beg off this weekend. Wife wants to look at houses and I have been sick all week. This bug is no fun so I'll just keep it to myself. Maybe when I get the parts we can get together I do have a 2 car garage and some tools. Sorry guys I was looking forward to meeting you all. Don

well I might have extended brake lines to install... need to do a t-case service as well, but plan to do that on alift at auto hobby shop w/my next oil change.

Do any of the stock guys want to buy my old lift... struts are only 1yr old, but no rear shocks. it is a combo type with eurethane pucs in rear. kinda like the revtek kit, but mine was made first!

So as it is now, all I need to bring is the CB tuner. pick a time... We gonna meet at Joel's still?
