The only thing cooler than a MOAB trip is a MOAB trip with the masters of the wheeling unviverse.

Damnit with GM! They plan the launch-prep for the new CTS & CTS-V coupe on 5/20. Normally, I don't have to attend these things but since it's a whole-new breed they want all hands on deck. The are planning two sessions: 12 - 2 and 3 - 5 and since I planned to leave work at 3PM to haul down to MOAB (where adventure begins) I am going to do my best to make the early session. If I can't make it, I am going to arrive much later that night so keep the light on for me.

I have gifts for everyone attending because I'm good like that.

There are about 3 prior engagements that preclude me from making this trip. But let's just say that I blow off the grand opening/open house for my new office, dinner with the best man from my wedding, and something else I'm forgetting right now...I have a few questions.

1) Is this some sort of formal gathering or just some guys headed to Moab for the weekend? There is no right answer here - just wondering.

2) Where ya'll staying? Camping? Hotel?

3) Are there stores? Do I need to bring my own food, water, tent? What do I need to bring?

I guess I'm just not seeing the whole back story here and not really sure how to plan for this provided that I blow off all that other stuff I'm supposed to do. Maybe there's another thread I didn't see.

Edit: Oh yeah, there's also a house warming party for one of the clients I just sold a house to. So yeah, I got some stuff going on that weekend.

I am going Saturday and Sunday. As far as I know, it's just a small handful of us informally meeting up to run some trails.

Just started as a vacation that I planned a year ago. I met durangotang two years ago and JL Rockies last year and invited them to join me. So it is just some friends going out to hit some trails,and everybody is invited. :lol:
So you should join us it it will be a great time, those two are a lot of fun out on the trail. 8)
I have a condo rented and I think Steve said his Mom lives there so he was staying with her. Not sure If JL and Durangotang are staying with me or camping at the OK campground. The campground does have cabins.
Moab is a good sized town so they will have anything you need.
I will be there all week starting monday if you want to come sooner.

MOAB has grocery stores, electricity and everything!

As well as some of the highest real estate prices anywhere in UT....... (a bit of a hippy prob too).

I came into work this AM and there's a schedule on my desk that shows me in charge of the Monday 5/24 AM sales meeting. Not sure why everyone's trying to eff up my MOAB weekend but I was able to trade with the Cadillac Manager; now I have to do his this Monday AM.... effing meetings.

I actually have one I can loan you..... I have to dig it out. My other one I gave to Ben during LJS. I'll bring in the SWR meter so we can get you tuned-up too.
