I've got to get this new heep out on the trails. Hidden Valley is a fun, short, close trail and it is just the ticket. Read reviews and trip reports here: http://www.traildamage.com/trails/index.php?id=201 Sorry for the short notice. If you want to meet up with me tomorrow post here (I'll check right before I head up there). Let's meet at the junction of Perry Park Road and Jackson Creek Road as described in the directions below. I'll be there at 10:00am to air down and I'll wait 15 minutes or so if anybody else wants to join up. Driving Directions From Denver, take I-25 exit 182 onto Wolfensberger Road and head west. Turn left when the road ends on North Perry Park Road. Turn right onto Jackson Creek Road (meet here) and follow it as it heads to the Brotherhood of the White Temple headquarters, marked with a sign. Turn left at a "Y" onto Hidden Valley Road. |

As it turns out Rampart Range Road and all connecting trails are still closed for the season. Originally, the Forest Service said they would be open on May 1 and then they said May 7, but not so. So this trip has been postponed until they get it open. I did drive up there today to see the gates for myself.  We saw some wildlife and a tiny little posing rock so here ya go...
