Post subject:  LOST ROCKIES SILVERTON/OURAY 2006 DATES

FIRST: Please ONLY LOST Rockies members vote.

Okay. As Pete mentioned, we DO need to set a date for the LOST Rockies Annual event. I am pretty sure we have settled for Ouray/Silverton, Colorado as a central location for all three states. What we need are dates.

Please choose a date from the poll, THAT IS DEFINITELY A NO GO FOR YOU. The most definite date you couldn't attend. If you have more than one date, post them in a message.

We aren't looking if you can attend the whole week, just the majority of the week. You can show up on any of the days.

The Jeep Jamboree date is just an idea. We would not require members to pay and participate in the Jeep Jamboree but it would give people the option to do it. We could have our LOST Rockies days from Monday -Thursday and if others wanted to do the Jamboree, they could or we still do our own LOST thing Friday - Sunday.

Very expensive but from what I have been told, a fantastic experience (and a way to expose the KJ to the rest of the Jeepers).

Just something to think about.

The only reason I haven't voted is that I have NO CLUE what my schedule will be. Right now none of the dates is a problem, but having the money to attend is (I've gotta get a good job soon).

Shouldn't cost too much if you tent camp and bring food to make for meals with a few dinners hitting the local town.

As I say everywhere, if you need extra money, give plasma......LOL!

I will poll the Cadet wing, and see when BCT is... That will decide for me.

So out of 40+ people living in the Rockies region, only five (in one week) can give an answer of the most unlikely week they could do LOST Rockies Annual run?

Okay, not sure about all of you, but we need to get this decided so plans can be made. Deadline to get your vote in for this info will be 11:59pm last day of February.

Of course, this will only eliminate the worst weeks for the event. We would need to choose if there are more than one good week to hold it.

I know some of you can't plan so far in advance but activities like these have to be planned well in advance. It is obvious that at least one person will end up missing this event because the week won't work for them.

THIS IS REALLY SAD.

Any other suggestions for other times of the year besides July or August?

David, I really am following this, but I don't know which weekends will work this far out. Mostly because of the new job I'm starting in a week here. I should have a better idea what's expected of me in another month or so.

Dave, I think I'd be available for just about any of the dates. July would work better since that would be more in line with my unit's standard leave time. If we could standardize the dates near the end of July (ie: always the last week of July) it might help people plan further out.
