Since he offered to meet at his place and I don't know when he'll pop on here, here's his addy and number:

3250 Honeyburyl Dr.
Colorado springs 80918

719-360-7414

Mapquest does a great job of directions.

9:30am works for me. I could bring OJ and Milk for everyone.

I'm gonna be out late tonight too, add to that a 2+ hour drive. I may not be there... If I'm not there by 10:00 and I don't call to say I'll be late, assume I'm not coming.
We're going to a good friend's birthday party tonight (dinner, drinks, etc...), and I'm not sure how friendly an 7:30 departure is going to feel.

Put me in the maybe column

Address and number posted, thanks Dave. I figured between 8-9 for everyone to get in on some grub, but I don't figure we would head out for the trail until 9:30-10 anyways, so everyone with a longer drive can get here. There is a group meeting at the Safeway on 115 and Academy between 9 and 10. That group has done Eagle Rock numerous times, so I'll give them a call in a little bit and get some more details. Don't worry about bringing any drinks or food, I already got it all at Walmart just a few minutes ago.

Pete is planning to come as well, he called to ask about details.

BTW, do we all get to preview some steel tomorrow morning?

That's funny, I was at Harbor Freight first, then I went to Walmart.:D I got stuck with the kids, so I couldn't get to the manufacturer by 3 to meet with the engineer to discuss any "issues", so I am meeting with them Monday morning, so no bumper this weekend, sorry.

OK, just got off the phone with a guy taking a group of 4 TJ's and 2 XJ's up Old stage/eagle rock tomorrow, and said he could meet us at the Safeway at Academy and 115 around 10, so we could leave my place around 9:40 and get there on time. I explained our group and said we won't have any troubles going up Eagle Rock.

So, my door will be open at 8, grab some grub, take out of here about 9:30, and go try not to break anything. Sound good to everyone? Might pack a lunch, water, t-paper, etc.

So, who's coming?

OK, Ted and I did this trail in Sept '04 and had quite a bit of difficulty going up it, I guess we'll have to see how it goes this time. I'm just glad that for once Jen and I don't have to be up at 6am to make it to Morrison by 9am. See y'all at Marty's.

FYI - Here are few excerpts from the description on 4x4Trails.net

"Recomended equipment: Locker in at least one axle, and a winch."

"Short wheelbase is your friend there, because of tight trees."

"Body damage is possible (even likely)..."

It sounds like Ted might be the only KJ equiped for this trail and he isn't bringing his out, right? I'll be there for the socializing, but from what Pete said it looks like there might not be any KJs on this run.

Sorry guys, I won't be making it and my Wife has promised a divorce if I make her go tomorrow. We just got home and being on the road by 7-6 tomorrow morning does not sound fun at all.

Everybody have fun, take lots of pictures, and scout it out for later this Spring or Summer.

Well, there are other spurs off of old stage as well.

Also i will be bringing my camera, but you are right... My jeep is parked for now... Besides, I wrote my paper tonight, thus Why I am still up  and my hunk of junk is full of boxes for the move, and I ain't unloading it now, nor in the morning... Most importantly, no recovery points or winch until my bumpers are done.

went to bed at midnight. woke around 4:45am. Laid there for an hour, got up and now finally getting ready to re-install my stock rails for the trip today. See all of those that are still going, soon.

Looks like it will be the usual crowd, except I hadn't seen Pete since last winter.

Alright, who's got the pics??

Great run today guys! I think we made some believers out of those TJ and XJ folks. I actually heard somebody come over the CB saying "I had some serious doubts about the trail worthiness of the Liberty, but I'm having to rethink that now. Actually, I have some new found RESPECT for them."

Good stuff! We definitely held our own against the XJs with the 31" tires. Actually we made some of the obstacles easier then they did and that surprised some people. Way to represent. 8)

Yeah, we watched for a few minutes while a Chevy tried to recover that poor Jeep.
