Hey L.O.S.T Rockies!!, I'm planning a trip from Colorado Springs to the Great Sand Dunes N.P. via Medano Pass primitive trail. The trail is rated moderate due to multiple water crossings as well as a soft sandy stretch near the dunes. There is also one rocky section which is not bad at all. I wanted to do it on 1 Sep stay the night in the Sand Dunes and head back on the 2nd. Anyone who wants to go is more than welcome to do so. If you have a stock rig that’s fine to (tow points recommend). I figured I would put it out there to see if anyone wanted to go. It would be a good chance for old members to get back together and for new members to meet each other. That's a really neat area. My wife and I hiked in the dunes and did some water crossings ourselves. There are only a few of us from NM who are active on the board, so I rarely check the LOST ROCKIES section. |
